My wife gave up and bought a Rubicon today. Im still going to persevere and get my res fulfilled from Granger but Iām not going to be surprised if itās a 24 model at this point.
Never understood the point of tube doors, nor the expense. People afraid theyāre going to go flying from the vehicle laterally? You go through the trouble of taking your doors off only to put some welded pipes in the way?
Those wheels on the black one (AMB?) are hideous, in my opinion, for an off-road vehicle. Shouldāve bought an expedition or navigator for that awesomeness. Oh whale.
Do you guys welcome Jeeps? Iām still holding out for my reservation but the wife is going to be ordering a 22 Rubicon so we can at least get back into the game. Iām reserved with Granger so itāll probably be a year before I get my Bronco.
So do you really think Ford said āOh man, weāre gonna get this guy!ā That cover was made by one of their vendors and yes, should have been caught, but your statement that ford is trying to screw your is just asinine.
As long as idiots keep paying it, dealers will keep charging it unfortunately. The adage of more money than brains rings true, because even if most common sense folks said not paying it, some goofball with too much money that has fear of missing out will gladly pay whatever the markup is so they...
Itās crazy that youāre asking a group of random strangers what you should do with a large financial purchase. Also crazy that youāre not already at the dealership.
Production volume will eventually increase, bringing that number down but there will still be a wait. Ford wants money, like any other corporation. Unfulfilled orders are money they donāt have access to.
Appreciate the update and donāt regret my decision at all. Folks need to remember this vehicle is a luxury, not a necessity. Most of the complainers, while not necessarily unwarranted, probably are just suffering from FOMO.
