I wouldn’t want to sit in the back seat while compressor is running, or even in a closed cabin. My wife rarely joins me, and if she did it’s only 10-12 minutes. Cabin noise was a consideration, but not heavily weighted for my decision
It’s a risk for sure. They also recommend inflating it every 6 months to ensure longevity, something to consider. I always carry some super thick bath mats for cargo padding, winch damper, etc that I intend to use to protect it from any sharp rocks. Cargo mat and floor mats are another handy...
if your molles aren’t rock solid, I’m not sure I’d install it on the molles. That twin is surprisingly heavy for its size. These ADD are stout due to the bent design (which creates stuff space). I can rock mt Raptor with fingers in the Molle with no movement.
my friend actually asked same...
if your looking for ideas…..
mounted on my ADD rear molles. Molles are super sturdy and have a ton of room for stashing emergency clothes, sleeping bag, first aid kit etc. betwen them and window. compressor stays cool, dry, accessible. avoided adding more weight (I’ve got a 38” tire and...
After two recent blowouts in the middle of nowhere Nevada desert and the long lasting memory of throwing the bead off my front tire in deep snow, I’ve been looking for better/additional jacking solution. I arrived at the ARB Bushranger X-Jack. It can handle low clearance and soft surface...
I ultimately opted for the Hypercoil Springs 2”/1” and added Foutz billet (no lift) top hats on the front shocks.
It raised my unloaded truck with a JCR winch plate and Warn 12S winch exactly 2” and 1” and the truck sits perfectly level at the bottom edge of the flares above the hubs.
still...
Hubs are different sizes and bolt patterns are different…..I’ve been double checking as I am pursuing my own adapter/spacer for emergencies. I
Raptor 6x135 - 87 mm bore
14mm x 1.5 lug nuts
Bronco 6 X 139.7 - 93.1 mm bore
12Mm x 1.5 lug nuts
yikes just saw the disregard part, FWIW….
I loved my BFGs right up until Day 3. They’ve taken a lot of abuse over 26k, but the 65 pound C rated sidewalls were made for onroad mpg not loads of high speed rocky desert miles, Sierra rock crawling and jumping at the local track over the long term. Interesting that 2 gave up on the same...
im out of town and this is the best I have. But the damage is pretty clear if you zoom in. These are +6 offset. If you’d like better pics, lmk. I’ll be back home Friday night.
I’m just one data point, but I’ve got about 20k miles on my Rebound Pros with a LOT of miles off-road and I’ve had no issues with leaks, no debeads at low PSI but I they are certainly scratched up. I’d be replacing rim guard sections monthly if I were worried about scratches. Sierra granite...
I can attest that October is better choice than mid summer in Vegas, but Mt. Potisi is higher up and a little cooler. That’s around the time I chose to go.
while I’m a huge fan of driving in deep snow, my avatar picture was me dragging another Raptor out of Sierra snow. Im not sure how the...
The Raptor is “supposed” to have the splash cover on the alternator, my 2022 did not. The alternator died in Moab, but in dry conditions at the time. Dealer cited no splash guard as the issue. You’re probably fine, but you might want to confirm if you’re a 2022.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll definitely see what the outboard fit is like when I start the install. But….. it’s going to be tough to get the bottom of the hard top past the compressor when removing the top. The hard top has a flat bottom that lays on top rear fenders. Not only does this...
The arb twin in the suitcase stays reasonably cool in my suitcase airing up 37s. My buddy’s twin under the hood gets hot like yours, he has to wear gloves. I’m thinking all the heat coming off the engine from the prior driving and while operating the compressor combined with the compressor...
Strongly considering mounting ARB twin compressor to hard top window molle panel (possibly ADD) on my Bronco Raptor. I have the ARB twin in a suitcase now and going to scavenge parts from it. The M2M bracket looks like it’ll do the trick for mounting to molle, I just dont understand why the...
I just use one of those black bins with the yellow lids you get at costco Or other big box stores. I get the wheel tire on (lift or use a board as a ramp) the bin positioned next to the hub, adjust the height of the car with the jack and then slide the bin wheel into the hub. I’ve got epoxy...
