Tax here in Texas is 6.25%. If I trade in my vehicle the dealer deducts the trade-in value from the taxable sale price of the new vehicle. It lowers the tax bill by $625 per $10K USD of trade-in value. Selling outright for $25K is equal to trading it in to the dealer for $23,438 @ 6.25% tax rate.

I sold my last two vehicles privately vs trading and came out way ahead even with the tax advantage a trade affords you here in Texas. The dealer only has as much power as you are willing to give them.

I fully expect my FY21, July 29th reservation will end up being an FY22 build that I will get in the winter/spring of FY22. So, I am just sitting in line waiting.

For what it was, I thought they did a good job. It was windy and cold (for Texas) yesterday. My guess, based on the video, is they were at Hidden Falls Adventure Park. That's about 20 minutes from me in the Texas Hill Country, right off FM 1431. 1431 is a great motorcycle road by the way...

Thank you very much. For the first time today I am considering a 2 door instead of a 4 door. I just wonder if the ride quality will suffer with the shorter wheel base. The other thing I didn't realize is the WT door handles are color matched.

An actual order does not need to be placed until the end of March, so there is time, through decisive action for Ford to turn things around. Fix the B&P. Finalize pricing. Fix the interiors. Be honest about next steps, timing, delivery estimates, build order. Give us (Texas) an opportunity...
