  1. Rust proofing using NEW PB Blaster Surface Shield & T9 -- DIY & Result Photos

I mean, they at least paint the frame. That in itself is rust protection, but as with everything else, not long term. Even paint fades and cracks over time. I'm not saying my bronco will be rust free and last 50 years, potentially becoming a collector item, but I'ma try. If nothing else, I want...
  2. Rust proofing using NEW PB Blaster Surface Shield & T9 -- DIY & Result Photos

That looks pretty useful. I don't think you can get away from gravity feed, like I imagine the wool wax gun would be the same. Just watched a quick video on it. How often would you say you refill? I assume there are attachments, or at least you can make a fitting work for hose with 360 tip for...
  3. Rust proofing using NEW PB Blaster Surface Shield & T9 -- DIY & Result Photos

Oh, for context, the ranger is a 2019, and has less than 25,000 miles on it. It is mostly surface rust, but there is bubbling starting to form.
  4. Rust proofing using NEW PB Blaster Surface Shield & T9 -- DIY & Result Photos

Worth it. Did my wife's 2019 ranger for this upcoming winter after noticing how bad it was starting to get. Had enough cans do do the bronco as well. Want to get more thorough next time. I appreciate the heads up.
  5. Woolwax undercoat?

Personal preference. Never had a new vehicle, and with that said, I want to protect my bronco. Went with PB Blaster Surface Shield. New product, lanolin with petroleum jelly or some weird combo, and is supposed to last 2 years, as opposed to yearly applications. Also supposed to be "self...
  6. Rust proofing using NEW PB Blaster Surface Shield & T9 -- DIY & Result Photos

I did come across that thread before doing it. From what I understood, that sensor is on top of the fuel tank, near to body. I was unable to get into all the nooks and crannies, and took care between the body and fuel tank. Did mine a month or so ago, so we'll see. Also, if I remember right...
  7. Rust proofing using NEW PB Blaster Surface Shield & T9 -- DIY & Result Photos

The diameter is just different enough in size. I can almost force fit the cap to the wing adapter, but the adapter isn't fitting on the can. I assume it's for the viscosity, as you apparently need a special paint gun for an air compressor application.
  8. Rust proofing using NEW PB Blaster Surface Shield & T9 -- DIY & Result Photos

Yeah, the regular adapter for paint cans differs from pb cans. At least the adapters I got were incompatible anyways.
  9. Rust proofing using NEW PB Blaster Surface Shield & T9 -- DIY & Result Photos

I too used cans of pb surface shield this year on my bronco, but ran into difficulties getting into tighter spots and inside frame. I'm hunting for a better system for application next year. I had ordered an adapter cap with 2 foot of hosing and 2 nozzles, but it didn't fit the cans without...
  10. Quick Survey - Bronco or Defender?

There was a few videos on YouTube pitting them against each other. I think you may be hard pressed to find a plethora of people with extensive hands on experience with both vehicles. My experience is limited to the bronco, but with that said, A defender is good for international football. A...
  11. Rest your Turbos when you park before turning off car?

I typically take a moment to set music before rolling, but as long as you aren't revving the engine or driving hard, the time it takes to low throttle/idle going into your neighborhood to your parking spot is enough time to circulate imo.
  12. Regrets Anyone?

When out on the trail, it is kinda nice to fit all 4 doors in back for a fuller open air experience...
  13. Would RTR Slider block rocks from hitting doors?

Would do both, mud flaps and side steps. Had a hard enough time justifying ~$500~ for mud flaps from rock blox. Another ~$1500~ for additional protection? Nope. Just mud flaps for now. Still get chips half the size of my pinky nail, but limited to the bottom of the door, not all the way up by...
  14. Sasquatch seems like alot$

I'm not saying it's hard. Just having to aquire hardware, software, and spending time actually finding the right way to do it, doing it, and testing to make sure it's right... It may be daunting for some not mechanically inclined/tech savvy. It may be easier to just get the sas and slap on your...
  15. Sasquatch seems like alot$

Depends. I personally have zero experience in lifting/pricing components, but if I were to buy knowing the end game wasn't to keep until I die, it would depend on budget/resale value. There's reputable shops out there, just a relative hassle finding one. Then, you pay for parts AND labor instead...
  16. 8/29/2022 Build Week Group

Guys and gals. Took delivery today. The anticipation is real. And to gamble putting in an order after not really seeing one in person, I am glad I am not disappointed. 10/10, worth the wait. Hold fast brothers and sisters; the joy this brings in an otherwise bleak world can only be...
  17. 8/29/2022 Build Week Group

Still no tear tag, yet I got my built email, and an estimated delivery date between the 4th and 10th of September. I'm normally not a superstitious person, but I can't help thinking something may be wrong here...
