Badlands does not come with trans skid. If you go off road there are scenarios where you could very well need both. Maybe not the same day, but maybe the same trip. We have both and of the two I would opt for a transmission skid first.T his based on my perceived needs.
In our Kansas fields...
1) Good clothes. Warmer than you think you need. Great shoes to hike out. Able to crawl under your rig if the need arises. Mountains & deserts are cold at night even in summer.
2) Water. Maybe depends on where you are.
3) Air compressor.
would add TP or better yet paper towel....but...
Programing is not required for a great day of radio use. Most GMRS radios come preset for channels. A channel is just a preset frequency. For instance, if everyone in your group agrees to use Channel 16, you can turn the switch to channel 16. Or if you have a more complicated radio you could...
This is another good place to find out if a GMRS repeater is in your area. https://www.repeaterbook.com/gmrs/index.php?state_id=none
Many larger towns and cities have a good GMRS repeater system. Outside of those areas (many to most areas that 4 wheeling is the best) there is not GMRS repeater...

We used Ford points to get a pretty cheap extended warranty.
Electric gas pedal, electric brake pedal, electronic steering etc.....You seldom know up front, but there is a good chance that 5-6 years from now our extended warranty will pay for itself.
Maybe road and tire noise? Our Bronco makes a weird sound on a several mile patch of concrete highway we drive. It was strange enough to really catch my attention when 1st heard.
We installed this type washer to the bolts on our skid plates. Otherwise the bolt head just hangs out in the open, Seems like a good chance to damage the head.

We have V6 with Asfir transmission skid and transfer case. All other skids are factory. They ship amazingly fast. Perhaps right now shipping could be slowed somewhat due to the events in their region. Everything bolts up real simple.
They are thick enough to protect. Our driving has given...
This is just a piece of ABS plastic that we used a hair dryer to soften and bend. It is very secure yet very fast to use. Best of all it was cheap to make. Two longer bolts/screws replaced the hand rail screws and zip tie helps make it more ridged. The tape is to better fit my radio so it...
