I am dropping out of FE but not just because of the blue. After having time to really digest the trims and prices I just don't feel its worth $65k. In fact now that twice as many are being made it solidifies that.
Yeah they got some pretty aggressive discounts on Gladiators around here. Around the same as what I assume my Bronco spec will be. $6,000 off an on lot 2020 Rubicon.
Most guys my size just buy a full sized truck but I am just not into vehicles that big.
Yeah there is a few ORP around here for $4000 off MSRP which is insane on a T4R. You can say anything you want about them but they hold their value like crazy. My 08 is still worth 12k as it's only got 140k miles.
The cramped thing is my issue with Jeeps Wranglers... was hoping the...
I am going to be test driving Gladiator Rubis and the updated T4R OffRoad Premium this weekend. Unfortunately the towing is a real big deal to me. Otherwise ill have to use the Highlander to tow which can do 5500.
Yep I get that. Everyone has different goals.
My target is to replace my 4runner for its current uses.
Daily driving, driving up into the mountains but not “offroading” as a hobby, weekends with the top down(new goal), and taking it to the lake where I pull my boat about 6 miles and drop it...
The 5th gen is a dog.... but so is a new gen Taco...
I have test drove a 5th gen probably 5 times in the past few years and was never convinced to “upgrade” from my 08.
Bootmod3 on a 2016 M3. Virtually no lag stock but tuned there was a bit.
As far as inconsistency it was likely due to them running 5-6# of boost over stock on turbos not designed for it. It was fast as crap don't get me wrong. But I hated the way the power curve felt.
I mean by todays standards 20mpg is bad. But at the same point it takes 87 octane so that helps.
For me power is the problem not fuel economy. Drop the Tundra v8 in it and Ill write a check today.
Just seems like it wouldnt be great for offroading. In my experience turning the boost up will create more lag, more turbo heat, and less consistent power. I have never tuned an EcoBoost tho just BMW i6 turbos.
Someone mentioned the LE F150 with blue earlier.... I went to look at a used one with the blue thinking “maybe its not that bad”... it definitely was that bad.
I was already on the fence about a 65k version this will just push me to a Wildtrak which is fine. Saves me money.
