Happy to report my dealer was kind enough to good will the replacement since I was so close to my warranty expiration! They replaced the soft top and ultimately had to also replace the main front seal as it didn't align/seal properly with the new top, causing leaks.
They did an amazing job...
Great tip on FB market place, didn't even think to check there. I found a brand new entire assembly from a 2024 locally for a great price, might jump on that.
Yeah, I see this now in the fine print that "convertible tops" are not covered, truly on me unfortunately since I also had the opportunity to get this fixed before I went over 36,000 but didn't rush.
I do still think the warranty is worth it in other cases - I only paid around $1,700, which...
Like many of you, I purchased the Ford ESP PremiumCare thinking I'd be covered then for 100k miles or 2030; however, it would seem there are a multitude of limitations as to what the ESP covers that were not clear based upon Ford's exclusion list of "wear related" (such as brakes) or cosmetic...
I'll echo this - 2 years of ownership and zero strikes. I always leave a ton of distance between cars, but perhaps I'm just also lucky.
Edit: 37,000 miles
Just got back from a 2,600 mile road trip, including 2 off road (and snow covered) trails in CO, the turn offroad gear did excellent, no issues at all - Extremely pleased. It's much more solid than the stock setup was.
A bit of an update, I've been busy despite the cold weather. Got the Ford Performance winch kit installed, along with the turn offroad tailgate reinforcement, tire carrier, jerry can mount, and spare tire basket.
Still need to get some better photos but here's a mini drop.
Well, that makes two of us! Just went out and checked, I had also forgotten to plug the harness back in at the side panel - everything works great now! Take solace in knowing you're not the only one that made that mistake, I was so stressed about this with the upcoming trip. Thank you!
I was installing the turn offroad tailgate reinforcement and tire carrier today and ran into an issue - I unfortunately got the short straw and my bronco has the 5 wire camera setup instead of the coax setup, meaning the included plug and play extension wont work. They provide some wiring to...
Installed mine yesterday, took me about 6 hours with routing the wiring being the most difficult part by far.
Fits with my Westin brush guard as well, which I'm quite pleased about.
Here's an in progress pic before I did the wiring. I do wish the wiring was a bit longer for customization...
A few updates:
Didn't like how limiting the Ford enclosure was, sold it and bought a used drawer instead. I then used some spray adhesive to glue marine carpet on top, for a cleaner look.
Ordered (and picked up, it's the box in the photo) Ford Performance winch kit! Going to be installing it...
Was in the Ozarks this past weekend, did some trails at the LOOP and LOTO Off-Road. Quite enjoyed the outer loop at LOTO, got some good video on the dashcam. OnX rates it a 6, but it wasn't anything too crazy, just a bit muddy as 3-4" of rain fell a couple days before. Tallest incline was 23...
Got the GMRS wired up today, took a bit longer than expected as I wanted to tidy the wires and run them correctly, removed quite a bit from the interior to run them
I also had to grind down the side the mountains2metal antenna bracket in order for it to fit on top of my KC ditch light...
I like it quite a lot, the lid is worth it to be able to fit things in their easier than the standard lid. I saw some other users say that it rattles but mine has not, no more than the normal bronco trunk rattles anyway.
