It has gotten a little quiet on this thread over the holiday. @Ninjak #176 hopefully got a top today. @SierraBronco and @BroncoBill44 got theirs before even though their order numbers were later. Nice install pics @BroncoBill44! @crabsquatch may be complete and @Pseudoko is heading to...
This is a little funny but also a little Russian behavioral science-y. The first time I aggressively accelerated on the test drive of my Raptor, I said something to the salesperson about the unusual exhaust note. They attributed it to the tunable exhaust.
The exhaust note sounded slightly...
@GroovyGeek my dealer ordered a new top for the Raptor two weeks ago that came in within days. Then on Wednesday last week they ordered the middle and front panels that came in on Monday.
Well, those are unique, meaning purpose built, double end studs with an apparently generous tolerance on the body length (unthreaded part). Looks like black zinc coating but also some dinged up threads. Hard to tell relative to themselves but could be a 1/2-13 (0.4891-0.5 major) thread if you...
Thanks for sharing, *@BroncoBill44*. Check your assembly. They might already be installed in the frame holding the whole works in place on the pallet scaffolding. 👀
Glad some of the team here are seeing movement. Nice pics @SierraBronco.
In other developments, Armadillo Designs has changed their terms and conditions. They still have a bit of unacceptable wierdness in the Disclaimer section that is contradictory to their updated Warranty section, some...
2023 Braptor has and hauls ASS after tune installed October 2024. 🐎🦖
Min 91 octane - always, I mean it's a Raptor after all.
Forscan research is on the agenda.
chris@pandamotorworks - Appreciate the work you guys put in and the offerings. I have the same question about the application of the plugs you recommend.
Thanks for the information. I spoke with McGard customer support. They tried repeatedly to steer me away from the tuner lugs which were "only for wheels that require them" such as the RTR wheels for Raptor that actually state they require tuner nuts. Otherwise, I was told, "McGard can only...
I am trying to do the same thing and it looks like these: McGard 65315BK will work with a 5pc matching lock set like this: 25515BK. If they will fit, these will work with most aftermarket wheels as well where the ones from @swamp2 are a great option for the stock rims.
We need confirmation...
@DC59 beat me to it - nice job! Here is my $.02
Thanks @SierraBronco for the alert. First, I am not a lawyer, just a civilian. As @Smocaine points out, the terms and conditions for Eibach are contradictory. It is part of a trend driven by the perceived need for total liability shielding and...
Thanks for the clarifications. If we are going to pick at nits, I think the dude's name has an "A" (actually 2, 4 if you count his last name) not an "O" in it.
Anyway, you must be excited and deservedly so. Hopefully it will be a white Christmas in FL this year - at least for Jessabelle.
@Ninjak and @SierraBronco very happy for you both. Please keep us updated.
If memory serves, @Ninjak received word their top was "complete" on or about November 18. That adds up to 3+ weeks for quality inspection, crating, etc, and maybe more. If you both would be so kind to let us know...
@TheLawnDart Thank you for stepping into the vaccuum and trying to fill the void. Thanks for the information on the thickness. You seem like a nice guy and are certainly generous with your resources: your time and your Raptor. Not sure I would have been so willing to let a couple of guys...
Great to hear that you are still around! Good luck at your new station. If Roach has arrived there with you, would you be able to provide numbers on sheet thickness for the top: Gull wings/windows, top panels, frame? All the same as current production? Thanks in advance!
But hey, who am I to say:
There is some chance they might still perform - there are pictures of tops, but those could be different shots of the same five to seven tops in that hangar on Nelius Rd. The biggest problem: young business people suffer pretty heavily from magical thinking. If you...
