After much deliberation, and the updated B&P I am no longer willing to stretch myself for this truck. I just don't trust Ford enough to put myself on their hook for a 50k rig. We'll leave that discussion for the other threads. I have determined that the highest build I will consider is the BD...
I bet one could get crafty with a fold-out sort of option. Imagine a slide and unfold mechanism. Might be a heavy, massive piece. But I have to think it could be done. If the surrounding hardware can handle the loads.
Curious if anyone has seen something like this for the Jeep. I know it's been axed for the 2d. I'd love this as an aftermarket. 2' long and load bearing, and with the top window up, the 2dr Bronco becomes a sleeper with top window to cover from any light rain etc.
The other threads I've seen on this end it bickering matches with many folks not realizing that on the 4d basesquatch with 2.7 the cost of the AT is cooked in three times.
Base 4d comes with auto and is priced higher than comparable trims when you look at the 2d-4d price jump. (Auto is...
This is true, I have a feeling the $1895 for the 2.7 is not ultimately going to include a 10A for anyone. I know a Ford rep recently confirmed it, but if it's true then the Base and OBX models get screwed on these features.
Additionally, the 4d comes with an auto AND is $5790 to add SAS. I wish...
Still quite confusing, I reduce it to this:
If you buy any model other than 4d Base or maybe OBX you get a free automatic transmission when you upgrade to 2.7. But on base and OBX you pay full price for auto and 2.7.
That's fishy. Very curious how accurate the B&P tool is on pricing here. Hell...
So what is the real pricing of the 2.7 on the 4d base sasquatch? (or the 4d base for that matter) IF the auto is already built into the 4d cost, why does the 2.7 still cost the same as it would on a standard transmission model which presumably adds the auto for free?
I've seen a few small discussions on this, excuse me if I missed an announcement somewhere:
If I buy Sasquatch, the auto is included at $5690.
If I buy Mid on trims above Base, auto is included at $1495.
If I buy 2.7, auto is included at $1895.
Auto alone is $1595.
If I get a Sasquatch, Mid...
I mean, we at b6g are the diehards right? LOL. And I'm far from the most troubled among us... Imagine how many casual buyers already forgot they put in a res??
I have a late Sept res.... Lame, I know. Do any of the math gurus suspect that, with our newest delay that delivery extends into '23? Ford isn't likely to go double time on production to make up the difference. I saw some threads in the past that led me to believe an early 2022 delivery was my...
Glad this stayed civil! I was surprised to find so many sympathizers of the 4d base. Cheers to you, I hope you beat the ugly out of it quickly.
Or, maybe Ford builds one and it looks better than expected. That would be cool! We will see...
