BFG must have a patent on that tread pattern. Nothing else comes close, IMHO. Those upgraded wheels are pretty sweet as well. If I can't find white dog dish hubcap steelies prior to placing my order in December, I'm nabbing these and not looking back.
Back in the late 70's John Delorean was after my dad who was making a good living at Ford as a Plant Engineering Manager. Offered him like twice what he was making. Dad turned him down ?
Oh, and my wish for "cool things"? An Icon package. With white top, grill, inside roll bar and steelies.
My first car was a ā67 Mustang. I traded up a ā68 2+2 about a year later. Rather than compare the Bronco to the Mustang I've drawn comparison to the Model T ? It will go anywhere and Ford is gonna sell a ton.
I don't think so. I'm nowhere near the kind of terrain where those would be the right choice. And, I really dig the BFG A/Tās. 33 is a sweet spot for me. My Bronco will be more of a beach cruiser than a rock climber and I'm good with that.
BL perks: Front Stabilizer Bar Disconnect, Electronic Locking Front and Rear Axle, Automatic On-Demand 4X4, Lux Package is available, you get 33ā BFG A/T Tires, Washout Interior with Active Drain Plug, Marine Grade Vinyl Seats...
Dude. This is the best bang for the buck, IMHO. Especially if you...
The dilemma I have with a white top is what else to get/paint white. It would be easy to get carried away. Wheels, grill, fender flares, trail sights, door handles and even the inside roll cage, etc. Iām moving away from white and am now pretty happy with the Carbonized Gray that comes stock...
Iām ride or die with the MT. So was Jay Leno when Ford proposed they wedge a GT500 in his ā68 Bronco. He said MT or no. They made the first Manual GT500 just for Jay
Even after seeing the $5K price tag for Lux Iām all in for that with my Badlands 2.3 + 7MT and Tow. Iāll get into it for right about $45K w/ my Z Plan. The fact that BL comes stock with 33ā BFG A/Tās is icing on the cake. Love those tires.
My dream has evolved to this. Actually, very cost effective with the exception of the Lux Package.
Badlands 2-Door | 2.3L EcoBoost | 7-Speed MT | Antimatter Blue | BFG 285/70R17 All-Terrain A/T Tires | 17ā Machined Carbonized Gray-Painted Aluminum Wheels | Hard Top Molded-in-Color Carbonized...
Gad I am so all over the board on this. Since the beginning I thought I wanted the retro wheels, white top and grill. But after spending an hour in Photoshop this morning Iām thinking Iāll contrast my Badlands AMB with the stock Carbonized Gray top, wheels and grill. My wife says my choices are...
Yeah, I assumed those K02ās were the 33ās as those are the only BFGās that Ford has on the spec list. Doesnāt mean they didnāt cheat and use something else in the prototype, though. [EDIT] After reading further I see that is the consensus.
They are stock on the Badlands. I freaking love those...
I spoke on the phone this morning with Detroit Steel Wheel and Iām not confident theyāll do these in 17ās. They only do 18, 20 & 22 inch wheels. Itās a ways off, but I may have to alter my dream ;)
