That's interesting. I knew the tires made most of the difference, it's one of the reasons I want to stick with the BB. I didn't know the Jeep would still be a bit more, I assume this is just by design.
I had a base (sport) Wrangler, and while it may not sit that tall for some; it had a lot more ground clearance from what I was used to.
The stock Jeep ground clearance is higher than the Base Bronco from what I've read.
I've looked at the Ranger B&P and if it's anything like that it will be nice. I know they most-likey will have all camping stuff, but I hope they have the dash cam accessory that the Ranger has.
I don't really want a whole lot, just a few things I've seen in the demos, and maybe some stuff...

Switched to Stephens almost a couple of weeks ago. I haven't talked to anyone personally on the phone, but the communication from them has been excellent.
The previous poster before described it best IMO. I had the same thoughts as you until I looked it up, and read about it.
All wheels would be driven - in a 4WD automobile when engaged - on a surface with equal traction. It is in fact 4WD on the base. Having said that, with an open diff; it...
I chose other. If the Bronco hadn't been released again, I for sure would have bought another Jeep, because I regretted getting rid of my the one I had.
I've always liked the Bronco, all the models; but wasn't sure when this latest version would come out. Once I saw the video release of this...
From what I've learned thus far, I'm pretty sure that this is the trim I'm sticking with.
2.3L manual, modular roof, aux switches, rear locker, step bar, and whatever accessories I might want to add.
Wow, I don't have time to read this whole thread. I'll just say I'm back on the Area 51 train! I don't care if I'll have two cars with unusual colors.
Really nice setup, and I'm really temped by that Sasquatch package now.
I also agree that getting a used Jeep would be better. However if you just like the looks of the Bronco, want something really hardcore, and have the money to to it, I'd say go for it.
It's not something I'd do, but I won't be a hardcore off-roader.
I've watched 4runners that had a IFS that...
This is how see it also. Just make the BB the base model at the same price of just under 30K. It seems the main contention with the BB is the jump in price from the base for what it offers.
if people want to save even more money, they should have the option to just have the smaller steel...
I really like the color, but it's too close to the color of one of my current cars.
My M2 is Long beach blue, and like Area 51; it's either loved or hated. I'll probably go with Cactus gray.
