Yep, I understand the business model, I just don't support it. My local dealer will order you anything you want, no deposit, no hassle, take it or leave it when it comes in.
If you need/want a hitch, lots of DIY options out there for reasonable cost. If you are just using it for a hitch rack or something, no need to complete the wiring. If you are pulling a trailer, any Ford dealer can activate the module, or you can do it in Forscan.
Well, to be fair, he did say "be careful", not "don't use it".... and he's not wrong.
But I've been wrenching for 50+ years, and have learned plenty from my many mistakes over the years.... just ask my wife! 😂
I looked at those, but ended up getting a set of OEM rings that were already damaged for half the price of the SFR's. Now I just swap them, pending my activity, which is 90% date night style with the powder coated rings. 💋
Yeah, it's the thread lock that makes the bolts come out with resistance. Once you clean that off, and blow out the holes, and never-seize them, you can spin them in/out with your fingers. I also have two ring sets, a powder coated set for date night, and a trash set for trails. Now I use my 18V...

Public charging is the Wild West. The "master plan" has been botched so badly it is pathetic. Compared to ICE refueling, for most of the...
Anyone who "assumes" anything about a purchase, that's on them. There are plenty of advantages to a BEV, but you'd better understand your situation, do your homework, and don't assume. 😉
lol.... you guys will go out on the trail, beat the sh@t out of your Bronco, then worry about a door ding at the airport? 🤣🤣🤣
(not singling anyone out here, just finding humor in this weird conversation....🤠)
