Really Ford should just give wry one a hardtop with the option to purchase MIC down the road for whatever the cost of a soft top is. Can’t really complain if getting both tops for around $2500 or so.
Good news. I’m on the 4Runner forums and the consensus was rhat the 4Runner is definitely pushed to late 2023 according to insiders and leaked production charts. it’s going to be sweet and if the late 22 rumor is true I’ll be watching. I’m ordering the Gladiator Rubicon the minute Earl becomes...
the problem is if you don't get the hardtop now and have to buy one once things are straightened out a hardtop is likely to run around $3500. I'd rather pay the $700 now and deal with issues and get a warranty replacement later.
Luckily I got my order in last week. It’s absolutely ridiculous to think ordering for a 2022 with 2.7 and/or a hardtop, tow hitch, closed early November of 2021. Literally that’s how bad it is right now. I’m going to order a Gladiator as soon as my preferred color appears (Earl Gray) as well. I...
If you guys aren’t following the no 2.7 thread you may be surprised to learn, as I was, that the ordering system (for new orders/not reservation) is currently not allowing the selection of the 2.7, hardtop, or 2 door for 2022. Hopefully those constraints become available but I’d say that we are...
Wow, my apologies to the OP. My new order, BD, 2.7, hardtop, mid-package went through on Friday. I had a day 1 reservation that dealer cancelled after I didn’t convert to 99 status.
No one knows as there is not an answer to your question due to the algorithm Ford is using. Basically the algorithm involves how many Broncos Ford has scheduled to produce before your order, what options you choose, the ability of Ford and their vendors to secure the necessary parts, no future...
The Tundra will not qualify, much like the F150 Powerboost does not, as they are not plug in hybrids. The new F150 Lightening and Hummer will qualify. As does the Jeep Wrangler 4XE.
Knowing what you know now would you opt for the soft top and get a hard top for say 3k when a decent one becomes available or live with the 2.0 until it replaced with something better in a couple years? I ordered the MIC and will live with it until it starts to fail and then put a best top on...
Unfortunately, we are all learning more about the tops design, materials, construction, and manufacturing process than should be necessary. I think Ford and Webasto is close and should eventually get it right with enough time and updates.
Same manufacturer for both, but engineering designs from Jeep and Ford are proprietary. Webasto just makes them to provided specifications. Ford engineers may need to bring new talent onto their team as the current design is not cutting it. There are plenty of 1970s Broncos, Scouts, and Jeeps...
Haha, my 77 Camero lost glass t-tops all the time. Between the thieves and loose latches. Was like one in pic below but blue. Must have gone through five sets while I owned it.
