Let’s put it this way regarding cargo volume if you are unsure if you’ll need the extra. It’s better to have extra cargo volume and not use it than to need extra cargo volume and not have it.

I imagine the suspension is the limiting factor which is the same for both 2DR/4DR. But none-the-less a longer wheelbase almost always increases stability.
I’d be more concerned about the Bronco’s off-road tuned suspension and short wheelbase of the 2DR more than the powertrain for towing near capacity.
If I had to guess judging by what we’ve seen so far. The 2DR rear seats are in between the wheel wells and I’m guessing they sit higher than the 4DR as the axle is right under them. The 4DR rear seats are in front of the wheel wells and sit likely lower than the 2DR.
