Another roof rack tease. It looks good, nice and tucked close to the roof. The first company to bring their rack to market is going to be piling up cash.
I agree, I canāt find anything even close to that wrangler MT in terms of weight. Iām sure there are lighter 17ā wheels out there that donāt sacrifice strength. I should take a look but Itās a deep rabbit hole haha.
I'm sure they are. I was talking to whoever manages their Instagram page and they are going to get on here as a sponsor. I reassured them that would be wise so let's see how quickly they react to getting on here. I am pretty pumped that something is in the works!
Itās possible they are using the existing mounting points on the hardtop for some alternative options for their line. Perhaps that already have the full rack system like they offer for wranglers which hopefully is compatible with hard and soft tops. Just a guess though, based on the the graphic...
Did you get your Bronco? I have a 2 door BaseSquatch and have been contemplating going down to a standard flare to get a little show a little more street meat. Iām in Cleveland Heights. Regardless, Iād love to meet up with a fellow B6G member!
Looking great! This kit has really grown on me. Have you noticed any whistling or weird noises at speed? Not a deal breaker just curious.
Also, nice poke! Great looking rig!
6 to midnight for me. Iām selling a few of my watches to generate the funds needed for these seat covers. Iām thinking the Bronco logo in place of the Hauk logo though.
I wonder if the 2 door is a little more expensive because of the release handle at the shoulder position. Either way, the...
The front panels were easy to handle by myself but I needed assistance with the clamshell, I thought I could maybe get inside in the middle and lift it up and off but the locating pins in the clamshell plus the angle youād have to take make it awkward.
Gotta add this to the main post but I had some scrap wood left over from several other projects so I made a platform thatās flush with the seats folded flat.
It was a quick and dirty cut and assemble but itāll serve itās purpose for now.
Thanks! It wasnāt that involved, the front panels come off pretty quickly and are easily handled by one person. The clamshell isnāt bad either but I definitely recommend having a helper for removing that piece. Overall, not complicated and very intuitive.
I havenāt tried to fit the front panels...
Now that a corner may be getting turned with the MIC tops, as a 2 door MIC top owner without a roof rack, Im ready to throw maximum beans if that prototype rack turns into production and for the hard top š¤
This looks pretty good, the kit is growing on me more and more. How are the ambers? Have you had and fog or heavy rain to test them out? Curious what the brightness is like on this set up. I have S2 Pros as ditch lights and theyāre amazing!
I have a washer stack in there now and itās sufficient but I think I need to fab a nice spacer plate for each side. It definitely makes 0 noise with the washer stack and itās closer to flush. Waiting for rain to see if itās leaking at all.
So I just reinstalled the top, weāll need it where weāre going for the weekend. I did remove the bolt that the bracket was resting on and use it to secure the bracket down. Now I have a real nice lip where the front panels meet the clamshell š
