i believe they slip into the slot in the rear portion of the clamshell similar to the factory rear rack mounts.

The EZ rack is a good modular set up. I don’t always want to roll around with the cans on so being able to disconnect it for around-town driving is nice. I’m waiting for the Hobbs or Gobi rack, which ever comes first, so I have a back up location to strap the cans down if I have to use my spare.

I’ve been thinking about picking this up as well. I was hoping to be able to mount over the side windows on the clamshell but this could be the simplest solution and very easy to remove when not in use.
