That’s what I couldn’t figure out about this whole thread - anyone who can pay cash should be smart enough to know it’s not the best move for 90% of people in that position. For me, I would say the discussion changes when the lowest APRs are over 6%, which isn’t likely to happen in 2022.
Yeah I’m not too worried about getting the order in immediately. As long as it’s in before the deadline, I think the 15th, it shouldn’t matter.
I never understood why order dates are cited so often; they don’t matter.
Same boat with Code Orange or Black, then I saw a really nice looking F-150 Raptor today wrapped in what looks like Cactus Gray. It looked right and Cactus Gray is my favorite Bronco color outside of AMB. But Code Orange is exclusive and Black looks the most “finished” that we’ve seen. Still...
I don’t think the dealer was lying about this part. You have to convert that reservation to an order in the next two hours or you’re going to lose the golden ticket.
That’s a pretty stellar day, congrats!
And I agree, “Warthog” is probably more fitting of a name based on how it looks lol and “Bronco Raptor” is too much to type, hence the “Braptor” weirdness.
As for your dilemma, have you considered renting one of them on Turo? Probably depends a lot on where you live, but that was our solution to the golden ticket surprise after one Bronco was already in the garage.
I hope you’re only kidding about Zelle. I got ripped off via Zelle once and there was nothing Zelle could do about it even though it was fraudulent. Zelle even sent me confirmation of receipt of the funds in my Zelle account, then Zelle said there were no funds and nothing Zelle could do about it.
I’m not into the carbon fiber look and it serves no function in this application, so a hard pass at nearly $2k. Probably the easiest build decision for me.
