Cool thread. When I bought my M2 two and half years ago, I thought that would be my last new car purchase. I regretted trading in my Jeep Wrangler for a Kia Soul to make room for the M2. I love the M2, just wish I had kept the Jeep.
I knew there was a new Bronco coming out, but had lost track...
Thanks for the pics Aman. Standing next to the Bronco at a little over 6" gives me a good reference of it's size. At 5' 9" I get an idea of me standing next to it in my garage.
The ground clearance for the base is 8.4" so I'd assume that the BB is close to 10" based on comparing it to a the base Wrangler which is 9.4" I believe. The base Wrangler has 245 tires vs 255 vs. the BB.
This is all off the top of my head, from reading about tire sizes, so it's probably not...
The more I read this forum, the more I get pulled in different directions which way to go LOL. I was leaning toward upgrading to BD from BB. If the SAS package is truly 5K, which is still a good chunk of cash, I would just do base, SAS package and aux switches and I'm good.
I can add HD...
I've been contemplating moving up from the BB to BD recently. I hadn't realized the BD gives me sone of the stuff I would have optioned in the BB plus a little more. This model seems to be aimed at those who want some off-road capability right off the bat without spending too much.
Agreed. I'm not an experienced off-roader by any means, but I'm interested in people like yourself opinions. I've always liked Jeeps, but the Bronco was a mystery to me, and always in the back of my thoughts.
A coworker of mine is/was really into Broncos and I remember seeing pics on his...
That's an interesting point, and even though I prefer a 2DR. I somewhat agree. I don't plan on lifting my Bronco much, if at all; so that's not an issue for me.
I never cared for the look of a 4DR Jeep Wrangler at stock height with stock tires, but they look real good lifted with large tires...
It's not an easy decision. I thought I read that you liked camping and off-roading. I think the 4DR may suit those needs well, because it does seem capable, and has some nice extra features that the 2DR doesn't have from the factory.
I'm getting 2DR but the 4DR does look good. I just like the look of the 2DR better. I think the 4DR may hold value better in the short term, because that's what most people seem to want nowadays.
I agree with the poster who said the 2DR may hold more value several years into the future.
I...
I'm trading my KIA Soul in when I buy the Bronco. The 2DR. looks to have an inch less space than my Kia has behind the seats. I've gotten by well with groceries, and other larger cargo with the seats down, in my KIA.
I'll be ok with the 2DR cargo space, but what peaked my interest was the way...
Thanks for posting. It looks like the Bronco 2DR. at least will have a little more cargo room than my 2dr. wrangler had ( not much more though). I think I may end up spending some money on some of those accessories.
There is a place online that I really liked when I had my Wrangler. They currently only sell stuff for jeeps and the Toyota trucks. They have no Ford stuff, so I hope I will be able to find a site similar or just as good.
I'm still excited about it. Since I've returned to work, circumstances has made it more than likely that I will be able to buy one.
This forum also keeps me excited about it. I'm just curious what things when look like when the build & price is available, and how long it will actually take for...
I'm with you both, those are the two colors I really like and want. I also like the aluminum wheels and slightly larger tires on the BB. I think you can also add a rear locker to the BB, but I'm not sure.
It's seems like they're leaving out just enough, to make me want to go up one level. As...
