  1. Driving on wet paved roads?

Owner's manual says it goes into 4H. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?variantid=7704&languageCode=en&countryCode=USA&Uid=G2234518&ProcUid=G2234530&userMarket=usa&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=False
  2. Driving on wet paved roads?

This is the joy of an open rear end and compromised tires. The first time I took my new-to-me F150 to the carwash, I went to pull back out onto the main road and absolutely lit up the inside rear tire. I've had FWD, AWD, and RWD cars before, but my RWD cars have always had a real LSD and good...
  3. Witnessed the infamous TIE ROD SNAP!

You don't see it happen, they start talking about it at 4:30.
  4. Best exhaust?

You meant to say "Number of cylinders."
  5. Update 3-26-25: Whipple V8 5.0 Coyote Engine Swap into Ford Bronco by No Traction Faction

You must be blind, or you just have the wrong friends. Between LS swapping the world and the plethora of plug and play electronic solutions out there, there has never been a better time to be a hot rodder. Stuff a truck engine and a junkyard Cummins turbo into your '80s shitbox and BOOM you have...
  6. Update 3-26-25: Whipple V8 5.0 Coyote Engine Swap into Ford Bronco by No Traction Faction

I know it. You know it. But lots of people out there don't realize it and try and justify their preferences some other way.
  7. Update 3-26-25: Whipple V8 5.0 Coyote Engine Swap into Ford Bronco by No Traction Faction

Yeah I know what it looks like, but you can't count turbos in the total width, since they're moveable. On the FWD versions of the 2.7/3.0, the turbos are tucked down against the block and the engine ends up being much narrower. So the 2.7 is capable of being much narrower than the Coyote. They...
  8. Update 3-26-25: Whipple V8 5.0 Coyote Engine Swap into Ford Bronco by No Traction Faction

A "level playing field" is a stock engine vs. a stock engine. No one here is talking about 600hp Broncos, so giving the Coyote the advantage because it better handle 600hp is called "moving the goalposts." Also maybe you haven't been keeping up with what people are doing to the 3.0 EcoBoost. A...
  9. Update 3-26-25: Whipple V8 5.0 Coyote Engine Swap into Ford Bronco by No Traction Faction

^^ I've been yelling this for two years in every "Bronco needs a V8" thread. Apparently these people haven't driven a Coyote, because it doesn't have any of that "off-idle torque" that people think they need and that they think a V8 will get them. I have a Coyote and 2.7 and I'll tell you which...
  10. Transfer Case Technical Discussion

Is the Raptor not an off-road vehicle?
  11. Transfer Case Technical Discussion

The modern equivalent of disengaging the hubs is disengaging the hubs. F-150s have had vacuum hubs for decades and the latest generation swapped to electric actuation, but they still disconnect the hubs when 4x4 is off. As has been mentioned, these frequently cause issues, but when they're...
  12. What gas mileage are you getting with 2.7 and SAS?

What's your source on that? https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/does-sas-package-now-come-with-front-locking-hubs.50547/ Some models of the small front axle have an axle disconnect, but none of the M210 axles have any sort of axle or hub disconnect. You're turning the axles, diff, and...
  13. Baja, Mexico- Expedition X Offroad trip with 13 other Broncos

Looks like an ACFab front sway bar disconnect wasn't quite up to the job? Did it snap at high speed and it did that much damage to the axle, coilover, and control arm in the time it took the driver to slow down, or was it purposely driven on like that?
  14. 5 small things I’ve found out about my Bronco.

The first time I enabled it on my Lincoln, it saw me getting close to the edge of the lane and sent me swerving towards the semi truck that I was trying to give a little extra space. Turned it off.
  15. Does SAS package now come with front locking hubs?

F-150 used the Twin Traction Beam suspension design through '96. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/1410-ford-bronco-long-travel-basics-dont-scrap-that-ttb/ It's a kind of independent suspension, kind of. You still have the extremely high unsprung weight of a SFA but with the added bonus of...
  16. Does SAS package now come with front locking hubs?

What? The F-150 has done this for decades. It's had a "true IFS" since '97 and has used vacuum-actuated automatic hubs to connect the front wheels to the CV axles.
  17. Does SAS package now come with front locking hubs?

Why'd you leave out automatic hubs?
  18. Does SAS package now come with front locking hubs?

The F-150 used vacuum up until the '21 model year.
  19. Does SAS package now come with front locking hubs?

Do you have a picture of your axle? For decades now, Ford has used a vacuum actuation system to automatically lock the front hubs when 4wd modes are engaged. All F-150s got it. When they work, they work great, but they're a frequent pain point.
