You already know th' answers. No, price protection is a dealer decision, not an obligation. Yes, reservation gets you a Bronco at the current MSRP (which is still a great deal). You may cancel, and the dealer sells with an ADM. Reservation has little leverage beyond getting to order what you...
This is my guide. Sometimes, my tires are not forever. I'd rather have a fresh spare to match a hazard replacement. I sometimes get full life, and then buy 3 of the same brand, which ends at 4 for the price of 3. Rotating all 5 costs more time or money or both.
Over my time of ownership:

Best plan is to get the Bronco when it arrives. Mine was 'built' blend in October, finished in late December and arrived a couple of weeks later. Worth the wait. Love driving this rig every day. Only 8,500 miles on it so far. Trouble free. Granger is the best, I'll only buy from them now.
My remorse: Can't order a Bronco Raptor.
Might have to order a Wildtrack for our 2nd Bronco.
A better question: How many owners have 2 or more Broncos? 2 or more Ford products? Any others only driving 2 Broncos?

Yes, I like everything. The flares are cool.
First I've read that someone typed that they like the flares in this reflecting pool of complaints.

Reservation early 21 plus an outer banks ordered July 20 in the garage.
That's simply not true. Everyone else that has ordered a Bronco has had it produced and delivered promptly. You must have done something wrong. Did you tell the dealer that you expected a large ADM? I've heard dealers like that. Offer ADM, and I've heard there is no wait AT ALL!

@ausherpharmd love Granger and my Bronco. Our delivery was similar and excellent at Granger. Clean and nice. Got my title in less than two weeks and have a drive away registration for 30 days.
I'm going to try this one. I bought it, and haven't fit or installed yet.
Mounts with glue, not screw and it's removable.

It's there to save gas, be quieter and allow for less pollution. It works, or Ford wouldn't have included it. I chose not to post about stuff I like. I'm gonna vent this morning:
I enjoy having this start stop feature.
While I'm at announcing unpopular opinions:
I like the four door. Better...
Yer trans is fine. Wears out the tires most. Yes, it's dumb and could cause drive line wind up. This will heat up the transfer case and wear stuff faster.
Speed doesn't kill,
stopping kills.
