I understand that manufacturers are all going turbo to meet increasingly stringent emissions requirements, but that's calculated as an average of fleet wide, which means that if companies really wanted to they could still putting V8's in their cars but just limit it to more special cars or...
I think Ford will shoot to have give the Bronco a slightly longer wheelbase than the Wrangler and a nicer interior (nothing luxury level but maybe better materials). Both of these should make it a better daily driver but shouldn't take away much from its off road capabilities.
Nice to finally see some real work put into a new Bronco rendering instead of ones that slap a cab over a F150's bed and calls it a Bronco. I agree with you guys did here and think that a 1st gen inspired front end would look damn good like it does here. Usually not a fan of circular headlight...
Here's another article saying similar things. Everyone's buzzing about a Ford Bronco return.

That's true. Look at an 80's Mustang compared to the S550.
But unlike a sports car, an off road utility vehicle should look tough, which usually means boxier.
Agreed, needs to be a tougher off-road look. I don't think it'll be this soft. Just look at the 2003 Bronco Concept that thing was basically a box on wheels and Broncos have always had that tough boxy look.
I think it's definitely a possibility. All depends how long Ford wants the period between a concept and a production car to be. Revealing a concept this year would mean another 3+ years until the production 6th gen Bronco is introduced. Definitely not the longest gap ever but also not very short.
2020 calendar year or model year? Could mean as early as 2019 if it's 2020 model year.
4 years is still a long time, hope nothing happens to get the Bronco plans canceled.
It really is a shame they let Toyota edge into a market that Ford knows and does so well. Now if a new Bronco, if it ever gets made will be fighting an uphill battle with deeply entrenched players. Not even stalwarts like the Jeep but now the Tacoma is a force to reckon with in sales figures.
This thing's awesome!

This plain white Bronco is a Raptor in OJ's clothing
Bronco body. Raptor engine, frame, and suspension. And interior. One hundred percent awesome
Okay, so if you saw an OJ-style white...
If Ford doesn't want to do it, looks like GM might with a GMC branded competitor. I think Ford should try to beat GM to the punch!
