I've purchased and installed a few aftermarket and a bunch more OEM CF parts from China and elsewhere - zero issues. I also like to speak from experience so will do my own comparison once I receive the FP CF bits instead of casting judgment prematurely.
YMMV
Weight isn't the only factor in choosing wheels. I'm looking for overall quality and reputation alongside the specs, which good/bad, isn't regulated in the USA like TUV in Germany.
Thanks, I'm amped!
Most of the world's automotive aftermarket and OEM CF is made in China just like wheels. Initial reviews from owners look good, but time will tell. Heck, even Porsche's Carrera GT has some CF from China.
FP's CF pricing is roughly on par with BMW's M Perf parts. It's a...
Congrats! I caved as well and nabbed one at $81K on a $98K MSRP Braptor in Socal (no trade, straight up buy).
With the "savings", I ordered the Ford Performance CF kit that will get installed stat.
It's an amazing truck. If people got geeky into the engineering behind it all, the Braptor...
I'll be looking to commission a set of Innov8 G600 wheels if they can replicate stock diameter, width and offsets. I want to buy made in USA forged truck wheels.
Ok, Data. So sensi-poo for someone who voluntarily shares he has 3 degrees with strangers online.
There's always at least one or two of your keyboard calculator types on car forums. Trite. All that banal condescension and yet you take offense to tree puffing in a state - in which you...
I just placed my order for the full gloss kit via Lethal Performance. Though I could've gotten it for $500 less, the fact that they're a sponsor, active here and on YouTube, sealed the deal.
I kindly asked that they visually verify that the parts are blemish free prior to shipment as I was...
I'd be interested in a set of forged Volk wheels in black should they release a set that's also hub-centric and flush with fenders on stock tires.
Made in Japan wheels rule!
I'll report back when I actually get them and find time to professionally install them. If the cf parts weren't supplied by Ford, it's a non-starter so I'm curious to find out myself. I have BMW M Performance CF parts on my other ride. I'm hoping for the same level of OEM quality.
I'll be...
If a user goes from 35 lbs to 22 lbs per corner (e.g. Braptor OEM to RTRs), you're delusional high smoking them trees purporting that this doesn't make a palpable difference in driving quality.
And for someone who cares about the data, show us the data that proves that a cast wheel, let's pick...
Hey folks, I just attempted to check the engine oil level on my '24 with 130 miles. It's a little short of the top marker in the hash. (y)
What's the arrow for? It's pointing to the driver side atm. Gracias.
I'm on the hunt for a good looking set of 17" wheels to replace my factory forged beadlock capable wheels. I want to get rid of the weight. Thanks to all for sharing their setup thus far.
It'd be really helpful for folks to mention whether their wheels are hub-centric (nothing worse than...
Are the bolts reusable like the gasket?
Is the front diff using the same type of reusable gasket and perhaps bolts?
I want to refresh diff fluid in both pumpkins at 1K miles. Gracias!
I went with the McGard 64074. I decided to go with a proven brand with proven parts, US made.
If they aren't compatible with the factory 17" forged beadlock capable wheels, I will report back. Gracias!
Speaking for myself, I co-sign the frequent oil change concept as a solid axles Land Cruiser and GT3/M product owner. What I don't have is a garage to wrench!
If you'd so indulge me, did you refresh both the front and rear diffs?
How did the diff fluid look at 1K miles?
Does the rear stock...
Thank you, but I don't trust this brand as much as I do McGard. Claiming their black finish "resists corrosion" is a low bar.
It looks to me that the 1.64" is the right length.
