They thought about putting the normally aspirated 5.0 V8, but the 3.0 has more low end torque than the 5.0 so to do a true R they would have to put in the supercharged V-8 in there just no room for that.
so for a truck with max speed of 114mph the 3.0 was the better/faster motor.

I agree $6500 is way too much money for this top if it was perfectly smooth and paintable and it had built-in sound dampening maybe.
But some cheesy Line-X coating, and the “going out of style in a week” Bentley stitched floppy cloth sound deading does not look good at all.

It kind a looks like an OEM top with a Line-X on it.
I cannot find any construction techniques, weights, less sound, etc differences than the OEM top.

I’ve ask a couple of times on other threads, but have not heard back, why does the stock run start at 2100 rpm and the others start at 1600-1700 rpm? That gives the tune a 400-500 rpm advantage at building boost.

It looks like glass or clear plastic behind the windshield in that area it actually has a little Ford logo on it. That whole area is black and the small narrow rectangle is perfectly formed.
