Yup, and also a good reason to use a catch can. After 50k miles, the throttle body on my 2006 Mustang GT was so gummed up, I had to remove it and soak it in carb cleaner to get all the carbon off so it would close properly when at idle. My 2016 Mustang GT has had a catch can on it since it had...
Most of what you said, I agree with, but I wanted to comment on this portion. Because of the PCV system, oily air is recirculated into the intake tract. That brings carbon with it, which gums up intake valves and intake passages. This has been negated throughout the years by port fuel injection...
My wife has owned Mercedes, going back to 2010. With the exception of the dealer in Florida, the two we've dealt with in South Carolina (owned by the same mega group), and the one we dealt with in NJ were pretty awful. One SC dealer told her they wouldn't let her leave the facility with her...
I absolutely agree that there are some good dealers out there, but I continually hear horror stories about Ford dealerships and their service centers. At this point, unless it's warranty work that HAS to be done by a dealer, I'll never take a vehicle to a Ford dealer, but I have that luxury, as...
Can you comment on what I was told by the service manager at Jones, specially that a recall does necessarily fix a problem? I'd also like to hear if you think I was unreasonable. I can go into more specifics, if you need them.
Also, this is an honest question, here. I'm actually looking for...
I have a DeWalt 18v cordless ratchet I use for a lot of things. It works really well, and I'm pretty deep into the DeWalt tool ecosystem, so it made sense.

I ordered my Mustang from a local dealership, Jones Ford, in Charleston, back in 2015. I have had plenty of warranty issues with it, and they were always awful to deal with. They wouldn't call you back, they'd do a half-assed job of the fix, and damaged my interior trim panel so badly that I had...
It's more than worth it.
I grabbed a set of Mabett grille lights (smoked) and Redline hood struts. I'd have bought the much cheaper Mabett struts, but @Redline Tuning took care of me in the past, when I bought a set of struts used, but the seller didn't include the step drill bit or the...
I have a Pixel 6 Pro, and it can be flaky connecting wirelessly to my 2022 Bronco/High with 12" screen over Android Auto. It'll go weeks without an issue, then randomly won't connect for like two days. My biggest issues usually stem from calls sometimes giving me mic or sound, but not both...
It's 12, unfortunately. Unless you've got a very old looking 9 year old, you might be in for a long wait.
Yeah, I saw your post after I had already left, unfortunately. If we make it back up there, I'll hit you up. He wants to go to Gunstock to go snowboarding this winter, so it's possible...
Hank sounds EXACTLY like one of my former coworkers, and KIIINNNNNDDDAAAA looks like him. I wonder if there's any really remote chance they're related.

After this thread, I actually added a column for tire rotation interval. I also have this for my Mustang and my wife's Mercedes. The Mustang has like 35 lines of maintenance/upgrades/dealer recalls and service.

Thanks, but it's amicable. Things just change over the course of 25 years.
I grew up going to Wall Stadium, Flemington, New Egypt Speedway, East Windsor, etc, etc, etc. Every Saturday night, that's where I was from the age of 9 until about 14. It's how I learned to talk to girls!
The photo...
Thank you! It was an amazing adventure and I'd love to do it all over again! My wife and I just separated, so he and I both needed the distraction and some good memories!
When you arrive and register, you go through their orientation, called ORX. After that, they break you up into run groups...
And once you're done with Blue Ridge Parkway, hop right onto Skyline Drive at Rockfish Gap and take that through Shenandoah National Park. You can then hit Luray Caverns for some cool time underground. There's also Natural Bridge, VA, near Roanoke.
If you haven't done it already, you could...
It shouldn't. I was in DC a couple weeks ago and parked in an underground garage. It seemed pretty hairy, but I had at least 6" of clearance. I want to say the roof of my Wildtrak, with the Bestop closed is right about 76".

I have the stock 35s on my Wildtrak, and I haven't had an issue with parking garages or my own garage. I can't go through with the Trektop in the "off" position, as that adds about 8" of height, but with it in the "on" position, it's not been an issue.
JR
My son and I previously flew from Charleston to Philly to pick up my 2022 Wildtrak, then drove it down through the Shenandoah Valley, and I posted photos from that trip here. We just did the Off-Roadeo in New Hampshire last Friday (30-JUN-2023) and it was COMPLETELY worth it. I took as many...
