Just had my driver side mirror replaced due to this issue. Last Thursday. Ambient temp sensor is in driver mirror.

Basesquatch here, wish it had less even. Daily driver has everything I need.

Update after 5hr drive 70-90mph yesterday. Pit stop pic. 21308 4,361 miles. Runs like a lifted mustang. :)

Chinese made windshield if that matters 🤷🏻‍♂️. My driver side mirror did the same as your windshield self cracking.

Didn't do anything, mirror cracked on its own driver side then a week later sensor started acting up. Have new mirror & sensor on order will have it done the 17th.

Update, took her in to dealer, they said exactly what was shown on app, its ambient temp sensor failure. None is stock so they ordered and will replace complete driver side mirror. Does not effect engine, was stated.

Interesting, I did have a driver side mirror crack without contact, (supplier issue)is the sensor in passenger or driver side? I haven’t taken off my mirrors. I did unplug battery to clear it before I knew what it was via ford app alert. It’s 20deg outside and it’s reading 65-70deg Fahrenheit.

Do you plan on taking it in for service? Or rocking her as is?

Thank you kindly for the feedback. Yes it’s cold, the day it went check engine was -4deg Fahrenheit. Or -20 Celsius (I think math is hard)

she’s been good so far, I’m sure with no data to prove the extreme Mi. Temp has something to do with that sensor error, although she was born in Mi. LOL. Sitting @ 3.075. Subaru Outback on stand by Lol. All seriousness I think/feel she will be fine. I’ve ran her hard thus far.

For those that might be interested. App remote start 16:45 10min due to outside temp being 2 deg entered Bronco noticed check eng light after I hit started button . Then drove through touch less car wash to remove salt at the same time scheduled ford service for Monday at dealer. Wasn’t sure...
