Thanks.
The girl I had just started dating at the time (now my wife) and I pulled up to a stop light and a woman in a minivan next to us said there was smoke coming out from under the car. Within 30 seconds there were flames shooting 20 feet out of the hood. Electrical fire melted a fuel...
I had a very similar story except fire took my '71 before the rust could. I also randomly found one at a dealership after cancelling my order due to the 2022 color changes. Congratulations. AMB is the best color old and new.
I recently did the same. Fit is good but it was nerve racking trying to get everything lines up. I can only imagine trying yo do the lettering on the handles. I went with red to break up the grey/black interior.
Yes and no. Since mine is a big bend they are not stock size but are the stock tires/size for the badlands. 285/70/17 BFG KO2's.
I think the fact that my wheels are 17x8 also helped keep the poke in check. The backspacing of the wheels is 5.21".
So far it has been pretty solid. No shaking or rattling. I even accidentally kissed it with my snow blower about a month ago and no issues other than scratching some of the finish off.
I hate snow.
The factory lug nuts are too short so you won't be able to get the wheel to sit flush. At a minimum you'll need 1/2" longer acorn style lug nuts. I used what are called "ET Style bulge acorn" lug nuts. They have a 60 degree taper (to match the same taper in the wheel lug holes) and also a...
Thank you. I just got my original Bronco Sport emblems in the mail today as well. I'm planning to modify them with some custom engraving after removing the "Sport" part. Also working on getting the fender flares painted white once the weather stays nice around here.
70 yesterday and 12" of...
Thanks. I love the wheels. This has come up in a few other threads here lately but if you are going to get the Outlaw II's you need to get the +18mm offset. They have a +30 but the hub bore size is too small for the OEM hub. The +18's are bigger than OEM but with the correct lug nuts it...
Finished up the main work (cutting, fitting, adjusting, repeat) on my rear cargo storage box thingy.
The frame is 4x4 with a 2x4 connector at the rear seat back. The holes are countersunk with hardware to bolt it to the stock cargo tie down holes. I'm also going to put 5/8" nylon spacers...
The +30 offset Outlaw II’s will not fit due to hub bore size being too small. +18 fits but you need to make sure you use the correct lug nuts since the bore size is larger than stock. Hub rings will not fit with the center caps installed. I have the +18 17x8 with non-SAS flares and have about...
