this is the problem- ford's "solution" is to have the dealer reseal the windshield but many windshields break when removing them and it's hard to get the replacement- sorry to say many of us have another hurdle in front of us- they apparently cannot sell it to you until it's fixed
bad news everyone- i was all set to pick it up tomorrow first thing- financing done, trade appraised, insurance done, etc. and got the call this afternoon from the dealer- recall makes it illegal to sell it to me until it is fixed- they are going to try to redo the windshield tomorrow but if it...
mine arrived monday night and i go pick it up thurs tomorrow am first thing! will keep you all updated here! was really fast from built to shipped to dealer all in about 2 weeks! good luck all
hoping to pick her up tonight but if not tonight then thurs AM- will post pics and thoughts as soon as possible- will be interesting to see the condition coming off of dirt mountain
NY my man! Built Monday the 13 email the 14th shipped on a train couple days later got to the railyard at Albany last weds sat there till yesterday, Monday when it got on a truck and made the 1 hour trip to dealer from railyard.
Day 6 and mine still sitting at railyard waiting to get to dealership. Sucks that every step of this process goes like this. Hope you all don’t sit as long At the railyard.
you def don't need $250 wheel locks from them - everything else is pretty typical although i don't know how they came up with their doc fee and non tax fee numbers but everyone has their doc and dmv fees
thanks for this amazing checklist- anyone know offhand what size sockets/wrenches to bring for battery terminals checking, fuse box bolts, etc? i can bring a whole toolbag but don't want to not have the one size i need!
day 3 of sitting in the railyard- dealer told me it's usually 1-2 weeks at the railyard- just hoping i get lucky and it's not that long. this has been 2 years of hoping and so far not one bit of it has gone right! how long did you all sit in the railyard waiting to get to the dealers?
if you check out mine, it doesn't have the standard OBX side steps on it so either they forgot mine or it was taken back in Jan during production i'm guessing?
ok that's crazy- i assumed these pics were from Jan but why would the vehicle have been out in the snow/salt if it was taken when it was built in Jan- do we think they ran them down the line again to put the modules in them? doesn't make much sense how it got that dirty
