i had this- i loosened the bolts holding the piece that it latches to and then latched it and then tightened them down- it gave me the few millimeters i needed to make it work. i still have to push it really hard to make it latch which i don't like but it's working now
just reviving this thread to see the concensus on capacitors on the rear pods- i put the bass blocking caps on my front 4 inch speakers that i upgraded in the dash and they sound good- very bright with very little bass but better than the muddy sound the originals had. i have a sub i put in as...
i wonder if the guys who select colors are colorblind? everything is grayscale. jeep/dodge has the best colors ever- great oranges, greens, yellows, and purples in addition to stinggray which is a bit lighter and therefore better looking than this gray. it's just the way of the world now- in...
bronco truly exceeds expectations- it's so easy and really punches above its weight class. the app is perfect and it's so easy to throw the soft top back. only thing that takes some getting used to is how different it is from my last car, which was a sports car. my last car had very grabby...
well ladies and germs, she is home! Shout out to Brewster Ford- i have never had an experience that easy buying a car- walked in, signed, took the keys, was probably out in 15 minutes! this is going to annoy many and i refuse to say the line many say in my position but i will say it is...
they seemed to have one because i went as far as "schedule the appt" to have them come and do it and they could come on tues the 5th to do it luckily i didn't wind up needing it until i drive one mile tomorrow and probably crack my windshield with a pebble!
luckily mine went ok but i checked out safelite for an online quote to get the windshield replaced just in case and it was $1300! a lot has changed since they were a few hundred the last time i did one
My dealer said the same thing- told me he's having his best glass guy do it and they usually don't break but occasionally does- don't think it's 50% of the time but it's higher than 0 so it will happen to some of us i guess!
My bronco goes under the knife this afternoon- like osky said it’s 50/50. I’ve done some windshields before and broke one or two. Apparently it’s a real pro doing it and dealer is going to call me when she’s out of surgery with the good or bad news. I’m just resigning myself to the idea that...
I can’t imagine the bronco shares a windshield with other vehicles but don’t know. Yes we can get our broncos if the repair is successful and they don’t accidentally break the windshield. In that case the only wait would be the wait for their glass guy to do it. You only have to wait longer if...
Just a heads up if you have the recall there is no getting the vehicle before it is repaired. This is just how it works they are not allowed to sell it to you. If you check with your vin and you have the recall you now have to wait for the repair just like me.
this was a real gut punch today after all the tracking on the rail system and on the fordpass app and the backdoor tracker and then it gets there and they can't sell it to me and will probably need a hard to get part for it and we're almost all in this same boat - what a complete joke of a...
Yes- my dealer will call me tomorrow afternoon to let me know if the repair worked or if i'm screwed waiting on a replacement windshield- how could anyone be optimistic at this point in the process?
