I’ve been driving around to run the Bronco low on fuel before I drop the tank and the light has gone off. Not sure if it’s dependent on the fuel level in the tank but I’m going to fill it again to confirm.
I dropped the fuel tank my first application. Reapplied last year with out dropping the tank and got the light nearly a year later.
Paid the hostage / dealer diag fee and ordering the part shortly. Will update the thread with pictures as things progress.
Brought my 2.3l 7MT in for P0451 and was told the same, my fluid film application killed the sensor. Quoted nearly $1000 to replace it, $434.55 for the part.
I applied the fluid film myself and do not have a professional installer to go back on.
If I do not have them complete the work, I’ll...
It is for my 2 door but I believe they are universal between the two variants. Probably not an easy item to ship but willing to pay or meet. Thank you!
I am completely dreaming here but how hard would it be to use the factory fog light button to turn the fogs on and off, and then use an aux switch to toggle between one set of fogs or the other? I need to sketch out an electrical diagram.
Every dealer I spoke to beforehand expected that rigamaroll, but I think I lucked out getting it diagnosed at such low mileage. No teardown diagnoses and they replaced the complete unit.
I’m in the same boat, with the roof rack only adding to difficulty. Tempted to remove it first but I know I should be able to remove the front panels without doing so. Such a pain!
