  1. 2023 Bronco allocations starting!

For those thinking they'll switch to a Heritage Limited, transferring a reservation to a Limited won't be an option, the regular Heritage will likely be a viable choice, but at the dealer meeting Ford said every dealer will get a Limited (which means some will get 2), but it sounds like we won't...
  2. 2023 Bronco allocations starting!

On other lines they already do, I expect the same system will be in place on Bronco now, its not from delivery to sale, but from allocation to sale (Available units), so one on chip hold can screw a dealer. This only applies to part of the allocation (usually 40% but has varied over the years)...
  3. 2023 Bronco allocations starting!

Nothing has been announced on allocation, but they did say no new retail orders to start, order bank will just be for existing orders and reservation holders to start, just like 22 has been the last few months, but there will still be allocation, if a dealer has one and doesn't' have a retail...
  4. 2023 Bronco allocations starting!

Nothing specifically mentioned for Bronco, but Ford just ended the COVP program after 22 models, this was extra allocation for retail orders. They told us that we're going to a 12 month sales history to base allocation on. Also there is an availability factor in Ford's allocation system...
  5. 2023 Bronco allocations starting!

Still no order guides, but just got this from our zone rep: "Wholesale is now open. Bronco allocations will have to be manually entered, so as soon as I get them I will, I will punch them in for you" Since these will be 2023's so order guides must be coming soon. Now the big question, will...
  6. Door Alignment Pin Part Number

From Ford it only comes with the whole toolkit. Part number is M2DZ 17005 A ($61 MSRP), Raptor case version N2DZ 17005 A (no price yet).
  7. Warnings when starting

Had the warnings with both my 21 4 door and now with my 22 2 door, our Mannequin 21, dad's 21 Wildtrack and a friends Wildtrack (so every Bronco I've spent much time in), so I'd say its an operating characteristic of the Bronco, not unique to yours. I can say much more common with doors off...
  8. Is dealer inventory starting to sit?

Getting to be more stock orders, many dealers are about through their reservations, and most are through the easy to build ones (softtop 4 cyl, etc). I think it will reset a bit for 23 due to mod top , but after one quarter of 23 production, I expect most dealers to be done with reservations.
  9. Highway Robbery or The New Norm

Food for thought or comparison, Just got my July NADA book. My 21 Badlands 4 door, Sas, Lux softtop stickered at $58k, now books for $76,200 with 7,000 miles.
  10. Fleet Broncos Spotted

Pritchards has always been a big fleet dealer, I think they supply all the Ford Chassis to Winnebago, wonder if these are for them as some sort of conversion or marketing tool.
  11. Ford cracking down on dealers -- Name matching policy getting more strict

Actually I don't think you want that, if they were moved into COVP, it would give the dealer the option to just cancel your reservation as they can just say they're not confident in you taking it. I know I'd rather cancel my reservation I sold at 2020 Pricing to get stock units I can sell at...
  12. Ford cracking down on dealers -- Name matching policy getting more strict

Again, I don't see this as being a big factor for Bronco until after reservations are finished (but I do see many dealers being done with reservations by the first of the year), but if you have an F-150 or other Ford, this could be an issue. If dealer goes over, he looses his allocations, if...
  13. Ford cracking down on dealers -- Name matching policy getting more strict

The should have never taken a reservation, they should stop taking deposits on unpriced vehicles, they should only take orders, no more reservations. Bronco should have been opened when the 21 ordering came out, that would stop all the ADM on reservations whining since they'd have a price when...
  14. Ford cracking down on dealers -- Name matching policy getting more strict

This doesn't apply to reservation holder orders, those are on a separate program. This is the COVP program which is most vehicles new Bronco orders (from 22, not reservations). This sounds good, but could really end up hurting the consumer. If the fuel prices start causing customers to...
  15. 🛠 4/4/22 build week group [now with Google doc]

Wow, hadn't seen that, usually the auto transport drivers (hauling new cars for automakers, independents hauling used cars work for nothing) are the highest paid drivers due to the value of their freight. But this article makes me think it may not be as much above as it used to. My oldest...
  16. 🛠 4/4/22 build week group [now with Google doc]

This is the way the auto industry works (all brands), keeping the line running is the first priority, fixing already built comes after. It's been this way as long as I've been in the dealership. What's frustrating right now is shipping. We are having nightmares with slow ship times. Broncos...

  18. 🛠 4/4/22 build week group [now with Google doc]

This is cool, it's neat to see how close it is to Willow Run, also surprising to see a GM plant that close.
  19. 🛠 4/4/22 build week group [now with Google doc]

Got the email and Ford system says "released" so hopefully it ships.
