This- 100% this. I have a similar use case to OP. Dirt road, snow, mud. Bought the Mabett flaps and they certainly reduced the amount of mud thrown up on the side of the Bronco, but there was still a good amount. Swapped to the RokBlokz and the reduction in crap on the side of the Bronco was...
2023 Wildtrack- interested for sure. Live in Santa Fe at 7,300 feet, regularly head to 10k+ both on road and off, as well as to lower elevations in NM and TX.
I do all my own work on the Bronco, and am a long time IT nerd.
Swapped Mabett mud flaps for RokBlokz. I think the Mabetts are probably perfectly fine for those who rarely go off-road and are just looking to keep rocks mostly off the truck. Given I live on a dirt road, and it snows here a ton, the Mabetts were just not getting it done. RokBlokz look to be...
Installed the Monster Hooks soft shackle loops attached to the frame. They will affect angle of departure, but not by enough to impact how I use the truck. Don't do any real rock crawling... I'll get them powder coated black at some point.
Really do not trust the bumper to not just pull off...
Any view
Any feedback on how the bumper is attached? I have the ADD Bomber on the front of my Wildtrack, and while I love the look, I am not wild about how it is attached. Would work fine as a bumper, but using the soft shackle recovery points is a no go, IMHO. Trying to pull the Bronco out...
Installed passenger side Built Right Molle panel over the weekend. Will be mounting DMOS Steath shovel, first aid kit, and other always in the truck recovery gear on it.
Also got the install for the WeBoost Drive Reach Overland done. Antenna mounted driver's side on a @Mountains2Metal...
This- they come ready to put on your fenders. Genuine Ford emblems with locating pins removed and adhesive applied to back. 2 different ways to locate included.
This stuff works great. Get the flares as clean as you can, and them wipe down with these. No oily residue, and helps keep the plastic clean. Also used it on the flares of my ZR2, and got them clean and looking like new for first time ima a couple years...
I don't claim to be a lawyer, just sharing my interpretation. The warranty clause you quoted is in direct contradiction for the one I quoted. I am sure (as with all warranty issues) claims will be largely dealer dependent. Believe me- I would love to have the tune, and would pull the trigger...
I am pretty sure that is the way it is intended- everything powertrain related is out of warranty at 3/36 if you have the performance tune. Blow a turbo at 36,001, and you are on your own. If you have ESW, head unit, for example, would be continue to be covered.
To be fair, I don't have any...
This is why I ultimately chose not to get the FP tune. Your ESW is not affected- except for the parts that are impacted by the tune. AKA your whole drivetrain. I am 99% certain this applies to the standard warranty as well; the drivetrain goes from 5/60 to 3/36. Ford should make this far...
Thanks! Took about 10 days working the install a couple hours a day to get everything figured out and loomed so it was clean.
Not sure on B&O enclosure- is it a stock 8""? If so, should drop in. On the standard enclosure, it is a 6.5", so to fit an 8" you do have to use a Dremel to...
Just wrapped the stereo upgrade:
Musway M6V3 DSP Amp. 8 total DSP channels - 6 amplified, 2 out via RCA
4" Kicker KS Speakers in dash and rear pods
6 1/2" Kicker KS Speakers in front kick
PlugNPlay Kits harness
Musway TWO100 Amp to drive sub
8" Kicker Comp RT Sub
Mounted main amp under the...
Have you called Musway? I am doing an M6 install, and had a couple questions. Joeseph spent 30 minutes with me, remoted into my computer, and configured all channels for my system. I had missed a couple wires- got those run and the system runs and sounds great.
I am doing pretty much the same install myself right now, other than rear sub config (I am doing 8" Kicker with Musway Two:100 driving it installed in stock housing). I got the under passenger seat mount from PlugNPlay Kits; guessing you did not go that route with washout interior. FWIW, the...
