  1. 2 Door Hardtop Cart

Just seeing this. I bought this cart and am hoping to use it tomorrow for my two door. Poster is correct that the front mounting plates on the two door are “in the way” and would rest on the carts pads…. But that’s how I’m assuming it works. I also noticed a slot on the black bar that looks...
  2. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

Thanks. A lot depends if this cart I’m using which supposedly stores the cart vertically works. If so I won’t need to put anything over the windows. If I do have to use another moving method, I might use double sided tape on the widow itself because the glass isn’t damaged and I could use...
  3. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

I thought about that. Might try it is the cart doesn’t work
  4. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

You kid but I contemplated doing just that. Tomorrow is the big day. Wish me Luck. I’ll report back if we made it.
  5. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

Well I feel slightly less worried about the move tomorrow. Figured the 2 door top - front freedom panels would be 12k if it was even available. So $3200 + $1600 for side glasses I guessp
  6. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

Holy crap. The whole hardtop is only $3200????? They wanted $1200 for just the plastic interior trim quarter panel piece. If the whole top is $3200 that’s a steal!!
  7. Can This 2-Door Hard Top Plate be Safely Removed and Reinstalled?

Going to try a few things but also don’t want to throw off the balance. Might put a 2x4 across the cart so it’s touching multiple places. Lange says the cart works with the hard top resting on those plates….im just nervous. I also watched a YouTube video where it looks like maybe it was okay...
  8. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

I bought those Dollie’s but the issue is the orientation it would need to sit on the Dollie’s. Not sure it’s possible. Need to be on its side and that would shatter the window
  9. Can This 2-Door Hard Top Plate be Safely Removed and Reinstalled?

Yep. Except it’s 100x more expensive than a couch. Wish me luck these plates can suppprt the weight
  10. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

$7000. It’s a lot more than that isn’t it? Can you even buy a 2-door OEM replacement? I might use the idea of double sided stick on the window just as a precaution when it’s going through the door way. Easier to remove residue from glass than top. It’s probably not needed but I like to...
  11. Rampage TrailView Fastback Soft Top for 2 door Bronco -- installed first impressions & photos

I haven’t noticed this rattling at all… On you middle bow did you move the foam out past the bow? I did to prevent any metal on metal and haven’t heard anything
  12. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

That’s a good idea. Just need to find the proper double sides tape
  13. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

Painters tap won’t stick to the MIC shell. Already tried. Need something with more adhesive to stick the cardboard to the shell I need to move top through a doorway tilted on its side and it will be low to the ground. Don’t want to risk something hitting glass and breaking…
  14. MIC Hardtop - Coated? Question Taping Surface..

Tomorrow is the big day, trying to move the hardtop out of the room and into the garage. For safety reasons, I would like to tape some cardboard over the side windows and duct tape to the frame during the move to prevent accidental glass breakage. masking tape won’t hold/stick to the MIC top...
  15. Can This 2-Door Hard Top Plate be Safely Removed and Reinstalled?

Somehow (and I don’t know how) I managed with my 70 year old father to twist/titl and tip it through two doorways - no cart - without damage. I have no idea what steps we took or how me managed to do it. I feel like it was pure luck. What I do know is that I felt defeated after getting in...
  16. Can This 2-Door Hard Top Plate be Safely Removed and Reinstalled?

This only needs to work once to get it out of two door ways (don’t ask). Then it will be stored in a garage with hoist. Thoughts on if those two plates can support the weight to move 200 feet to my garage?
  17. Can This 2-Door Hard Top Plate be Safely Removed and Reinstalled?

This is exactly my concern and this will NEVER be done more than once. That being said I’m going to not remove the plate and instead try to use this cart I bought to hopefully maneuver through the doorway. But it’s going to be resting heavily then on soley these two plates with slight balance...
