Brian’s suggestion is a good one. Buy a can of brake cleaner, spray it everywhere you’re seeing oil and wipe it off. Then just check it every few days and you should be able to tell where its coming from. I just replaced my front pinion seal. A little bit of oil can make a mess.
You probably don’t need one and I don’t think there is room for one. I’d guess the 2 door is stiffer just because of its size relative to the 4 door.
As an aside, after three trips to Moab w/ friends who run a 2 door JK, one finally starts to notice the subtleties between wheeling a 2 and 4...
Installed Goat Fab’s Cross Brace Cage Stiffener that goes between B pillars. Well made. Took advantage of their 15% off sale. Just wanted to stiffen things up. Hope this make a noticeable difference in squeaks.
Still deciding how I want to wire the light, either on/off with doors or on...
I need to stand directly in front of tailgate handle for proximity unlock to work. If I stand back an arms length like I do at the front doors, it won’t unlock. Why, I have no clue.
I did the afe-bias-adjustment today. Thanks to Beach_Bum and whoever prepared this attachment. I saved the attachment but not the thread so I lost the poster’s name.

I can’t speak to the armor one neeeds on the Rubicon and similar trails or truly nasty eastern mountain rock gardens. But after three trips to Moab doing trails including Top of the World, Steel Bender loop, Metal Masher, Gold Bar Rim, Flat Iron Mesa, Poison Spider, etc I don’t see a need or...
Try this ford dealer site. You can look up the numbers for yourself. It is where I get part numbers. And when you order, they want your vin number to ensure you’re ordering the correct thing. https://www.fordpartsoem.com/
Started yesterday and finished today installing standard depth PPE trans pan and changing filter and fluids. If I learned one thing in the process, it was the importance of checking fluid levels at the proper trans temp (205+ degrees). There is no substitute. After getting over the fear of...
Tell us the story. Is this the one where the Jeep came down the waterfall, apparently out of control and went a ways up the rocks on the right side of the first pic and then flipped over backwards. Mater did a video of a blue jeep that did that at this location. We saw the marks up the hill...

Equipped as you’ve described, and if this is your first time doing this kind of thing, once you’ve dipped your toes in the easier stuff, think Top of the World, Fins & Things, Steel Bender Loop, Poison Spider, Hell’s Revenge, Elephant Hill, Metal Masher, Seven Mile Rim, Wipeout Hill, Flat Iron...
I’d offer several things after being there the last three years. Once in May. Twice in August. Stay away from the Jeep Safari. Town is crazy busy, accommodation prices are at their highest, trails are clogged, and restaurants are busy. I like August, it‘s hot but not much more than Florida...
I am using an iPad. After a bit of research I’ve found that it is not uncommon for downloaded files to go missing on an iPad or iPhone, especially .7z files. Doesn’t happen all the time or to everyone, but it does happen. I’ve looked everywhere Apple’s written supports says and it’s just not...
