Going back to the original is a good idea. I compared an F150, Ranger, and Bronco. None of the settings that seem to matter (the ones most people would want to change) appear to be the same at all. But hopefully, I am wrong. Or hopefully, someone can point us in the right direction.
When I compare the Double Horn Honk to the F150....they say they are not the same:
Vehicle Num, Module Address, Data1, Data2, Data3, Same?, Binary, PartNumber, Strategy, Calibration
1, 726-41-02 BCM/GEM Body Control Module / Generic Electronic Module (BCM/GEM), 2000, 0000, 00, No, 00100000...
Mine is identical to this. It was also a concern and I verified with others a week ago. There's is the same.
You may want to check the rubber topped adjustable hood stops (when you open the hood). Mine were too easy to adjust and were also a bit too high. They are very easy to bump and make...
Ford has been great so far. Obviously there will be some unforeseen issues and this seems to be one of them. They are working diligently to develop a solution. Once that happens they will get the plan to my areas Field Service Engineer and Dealership to implement. I’m confident they will make...
Good News.
As many of you have seen Ford is watching and a representative reached out to me. They seem eager to get this fixed for me (and everyone) and I will be working with them to do so. I will keep you all updated on what the culprit was and how it was resolved.
Stay tuned!
I can see the same pattern showing through on mine, although not as bad. But it also has not been in the sun much.
On the other hand, I have another small section that is obviously delaminated from the top core. Meaning the outer layer is separated from the honeycomb. When I tap it it has...
Hey everyone. I’ve tried to read all the comments and take in everyone’s suggestions and recommendations. I really appreciate it.
There is also a likely chance that the water is coming in much farther back than it seemed. It could be leaking in closer to another roof joint and traveling...
Update:
I was able to do some testing. So far I’m unable to reproduce the event. I did not use pressure yet.
I systematically poured water in the following blue, yellow, red areas. All water was routed to the floor with no visible internal leaks. The hole under the roof panel looks like it is...
It was all coming out of the bottom front corner of the airbag cover. We pushed on it to see how much water would come out. And more did. Then we wiped it.
I’ll pour water on the windshield and on the top to see if I can narrow it down.
I’m sure I won’t be the only one.
Thanks. Wasn’t going to post it but then I decided it is important to share these things too. If it’s common among us, sharing it will let us know it’s not an isolated issue. And hopefully more quickly come up with a solution.
