Those are straight plug and play for use in the kick panel 6.5/6.75 replacement...they are setup correct for harness in that location. They have the larger white harness end on them and the correct wire/connector side on the other. That is, assuming the spesakers you are buying have speasker...

Also...you are ALWAYS better to solder speaker wires / connections. But will work fine using crimped connectors. The Mabette pods come with the harness-side connectors on the wires and open wires on other end. You can crimp on connectors that match the speaker posts-sizes or solder directly...

It’s an easy install do it! Just use the wiring diagram and confirm colors. All good!

I had gotten a quote on shipping for 20 of them. Can't remember what it was but I posted it somewhere after my original post.

The 5602 (for the kick panel Ford Harness) is correct. It's the 5603. Here's the schematic and a picture of the 5603 plugged into the Front Left during my install. I confirmed the adapter is "Straight through" and confirmed the positive line on schematic with a multimeter.

Read a bunch of threads before doing my audio upgrade. Didn't see this mentioned, but may have missed it. Bought my stuff from Crutchfield and they included the Metra 72-5603 "plug and Play" harnesses. When I double checked wiring with the schematic (B&O), the wires are reversed. Meaning...

Installed Hertx DCX 165.3 speakers in a set of these today. Super easy and fit perfect. I did reuse the rubber grommet from the OEM pod...piece of cake. Cut wire and pull it out...then pull wire out. You'll have to dfrill out the rubber grommet slightly and can pull teh whole mabett new...

I ordered the usual kicker … I do believe the w3 will fit with a half inch spacer. Problem is woukd require a different amp to make use of the more capable 4ohm load. I didn’t feel like dolling out $1k for the JL Audio DSP amp so resorted to the Kicker. Will see how it goes but yea, the W3...

Will the W3 work if a spacer is used? How much clearance between the front of the speaker and the cover panel grille is there?

Nope…just letting it whoosh. Ford doesn’t think it’s an issue. I don’t agree but will see where it goes over the next 5k miles if I don’t end up in a ditch because of brake failure.
