Seven. I carry 3 on the Bronco at all times and 4 on the trailer if I know I'll be pushing it between fuel stops. Its not needed for a trip like this, though I did get pretty close on one stretch.
As long as the clear is only marked, they'll come out easy with a good polish. If you can catch them with a finger nail, they're here to stay, but could still be improved upon. Assuming it's something you've never done before, your best bet is to find a good detailer. I'd avoid a body shop...
I keep forgetting to weigh the trailer but I'd guess around 2500lbs loaded.
I've actually measured the tongue weight. Loaded with a bunch of stuff in the tongue box and 3 of the 4 two gal rotopax full at 310 lbs.
My road trips are always well received here so time for another! This time I headed from my home on the Kenai Peninsula, up then down 450 miles to Valdez through the jaw droppingly beautiful Thompson Pass. I've gotta say, I've done a LOT of driving around this state and from purely a...
Making a bit of an assumption here but a good time to remind everyone to never, ever, for any reason, use a spinning brush of death style carwash. Touchless only, folks.
Just curious how doable it is for the average mechanically inclined person, and if there's already a list of needed parts and tools anywhere. The only walkthrough I've found so far left a bit to be desired. I'm not opposed to buying specialty tools, and generally not afraid to tear into things...
Frameless isn't inherently a problem though. The Mustang has had them for many years and they're great. They're only an issue in the Bronco because Ford fucked them up. They could fix em. They just don't feel like it.
Should specify if you're looking for wood burning or propane.
I love my Ignik for propane and use it exclusively on all my solo trips.
It makes less flame than a lavabox but that means the propane lasts longer and it can be used under awnings and annexes, which is what I do with the lovely...
Fits on the B pillar just fine and IMO is the perfect place for it. Blends in and is actually useful. Can't for the life of me understand putting it in an inconvenient location like the fuel door.
