Correct. I always knew that to be the case but some comments seemed to allude that the Sport mode was dependent on engine choice as well. I probably misread them.
*Disclaimer* I have not really paid attention to what GOAT modes are available on what trims these days but I see a lot of folks saying to use Sport mode on their 2.7 if you test one. My 2021 7MT Black Diamond has a Sport mode as well without using FORSCAN. They may have removed it from future...
Badlands already comes with 33s so you’re good there! The manual transmission can only be had with the 2.3L so that’s a decision you’ll have to make. In all honesty, the 4-cylinder will have plenty of power for what your intended use seems to be. If you want even more, you can get a tune for it...
Not sure how much it matters with the tire sizes you’re considering but if I recall correctly you can’t have the 4.7 rear on a non-SAS OBX. You sure that’s what you have? If so, how did you get that?
Well as much as we’d love to have you be a part of the 7MT Bronco club (totally made up by me just now), can’t fault you for going with your gut! Enjoy the HPR Badsquatch and best of luck!
There are people on the member marketplace here selling every item you mentioned (except for maybe the twill soft top) if you want to save some money over retail. They come and go so keep checking. I got my SAS flares for free by trading with someone locally. If you can’t find the grab handles...
You beat me to it. That is my exact situation. The half seat lets me put a whole child (at least at this age) in the middle. If I only had two kids, then 2-door would have been my preference as well. Although I suppose I could have used it as a punishment. Whichever kid acts up the most...
We claim that because it does have plenty of power for what we intend to do with it, but a good portion of us also want more power. Since the 2.7 with the 7MT wasn’t an option (and I would have gotten it if it was), a tune makes sense to give it a bit more scoot. Sounds like a logical solution...
I own the 7-speed and have driven a 2.7 with the auto. 2.7 is a bit quicker using the butt speedometer but I don’t regret the manual at all. I still feel like I have plenty of power to do what I need to do. No issues with on-ramps or passing traffic etc. I am going to get the Ford Performance...
