I have been doing off-road adventures in remote wilderness areas since 1977. I started with a 1973 FJ55 Landcruiser and eventually graduated to an 89 Ranger STX then a 2002 Ranger FX4 (both Rangers with a Wildernest camper). I am now ready to make my next upgrade. I originally wanted a 2025 Tremor with the 2.7L Engine, but Ford doesn't seem to want to make the Tremor yet for the US market. They also don't want to make a Supercab with the 6 ft bed.

When the Bronco first came out, I was considering going that route, but they didn't seem to be set up for the type of long adventures I take. Then I found out Ursa Minor is now making their system for the Bronco, and I think I could make that work for me. The Bad Land four door model with the 2.7L V6 looks to meet my needs if I can get 33" tires for it. I would like a manual transmission but don't want the 4-cylinder engine.

So, as it stands now, I am not currently a Bronc owner, but it is very likely I will be one in 2025. I have been studying the threads on this website to find out if there are any areas that are weaknesses in the Bronco. It sounds like any issues that came with the early models have been resolved and other things are minor issues. I am looking forward to seeing what is available for 2025.

Badlands non-Sasquatch is the way to go for a lot of people. Comes standard with all off road switches you would want and 33” tires you’re wanting. Can’t wait to see what you get or order.

Badlands already comes with 33s so you’re good there! The manual transmission can only be had with the 2.3L so that’s a decision you’ll have to make. In all honesty, the 4-cylinder will have plenty of power for what your intended use seems to be. If you want even more, you can get a tune for it. Good luck!

I have yet to see the Ursa pop-top on any actual Bronco yet and they've been in development since the Bronco was released in '21 so take their marketing with a grain of salt. For their estimated price you can get a good RTT and outfit it how you like and probably be ahead of the game.

Thanks guys for the inputs. I know the 2.3L Ecoboost has plenty of power but I just don't care to have a 4 cylinder. The 2.7L Ecoboost has better low end torque and the V6 is a smoother engine. Plus I won't have to be as concerned about carbon build up on the intake valves with the direct and TB injection in the 2.7L engine. I can live with the automatic for those reasons. The automatic makes rock crawling easier anyway. I am just a little concerned about the durability of the automatic transmission.

Ursa Minor has one photo of their camper on the Bronco. I don't know if it is photoshopped but it looks to fit well. It is just sits higher than the factory hardtop. I will contact them and see if I can come to take a look at it before any decisions are made. An RTT is not the way to go for me. I have been on many trips with people that use them and most were not happy with them. They are fine for sleeping but I need something that I can stand up in. I also want easy access to the inside of the vehicle.

Yes, Badlands non-Sasquatch is exactly what looks like the best for me. There are a few options I want to add but I like what I see. I will certainly provide photos but I will probably order mine unless I get the slim chance of finding exactly or near what I want at a dealer in 2025.

I have had good luck with upgraded Ford cloth seats. I wish they were available for the Bronco. I don't want leather so I guess I will be stuck with vinyl. I have a 69 Fairlane Cobra with the original vinyl seats. So, I know they can be durable but hey are kind of slippery and let you slide around a little. I guess seat belts are supposed to hold me in place. They can be hot too.

I'll get negative feedback here I'm sure but I can't tell you how awesome the seats feel in cloth. I was an ancient, original order holder and managed to get my 4DR/23WT LUX with "baby bottom soft" cloth seats. Love em! Especially here in the hot AZ heat were leather and that vinyl-spandex stuff burns your ass! Not with cloth. It's just, "ahhhhh-butter" when my glutes hit that ejection seat.
