Right. It should have said something. My email and production status, like others, didn't say or even show a soft top, mention a prep kit, or anything related to the top. That's why I asked my dealer.
I heard from my dealer today (Monday 08/16/21) and they confirmed that when I changed from a hardtop to a soft top before the Ford deadline, even though my order is scheduled for production the week of Aug 30, this will include the hardtop prep kit slated for Sept.
As I was reading about the MIC top changes Ford has announced today I received an email from Ford that my MY21 Bronco (Badlands, Area 51, Sasquatch, leather, tow package, LUX package) has been scheduled for production the week of August 30. This comes a week after my first test drive of the new...
Yup. Really like the B and C pillars in body color. Test drove a cyber orange Bronco yesterday at my dealer. 4-door looks like School Bus yellow in person. This deep orange is perfect.
My dealer is Walnut Creek Ford. They are supposed to be delivering their first Bronco soon. My order is a Badlands, Area 51, SAS, LUX, Leather, Tow Pkg, Hardtop (just changed to soft top). I still don't have a build date but fingers crossed the top change will move it up. Congrats!
Absolutely. I'll take it a step further and say the only reason they tested and compared these off-roaders in a meaningless drag race was to get eyeballs, stoke emotions and sell ads.
I talked with my dealer this week. I changed my Badlands MIC to a soft top with included hardtop prep kit since the memo extending the order change deadline moved to July 23. I know I would not be happy with the quality (and noise) I've been learning about from people taking delivery of their...
Ordered a new Bronco. I'll carry extra fuel when I off-road, just in case. Reserved the upcoming F-150 Lightning. If I take that out for an extended (or even off-road) drives, I'll bring a gas generator. That would be good enough for a few miles of charge to get to a real plug. No big deal.
I liked my brush bar on the '84. Destroyed the original plastic grill in the brush so I replaced it with a metal version and installed the Smittybilt bumper. Worked well. Maybe the proportions of the bars on the new Bronco are just off. I'll fab my own or have them made.
Too many pieces! Then you have to put them somewhere. I prefer a zipper and some velcro® along with the ability to roll up the side panels if I want them opened. My '84 Bronco soft top worked great.
I'm hoping for a tan-linen color soft top on my Area 51 4-door. I've seen this color combo on an older Defender and it works so well. Will look great on a Bronco Badlands.
It's tough to resolve the flare issue on the 4-door. The rear doors will have a piece of flare attached to them (that will stick out when open) unless the flare is left with a flat spot where the door passes over it to open. That is unless the rear door is modified for clearance.
I suppose the one good thing about these stickers is that it will give you something to point to when you're sick of idiots coming up and asking you if your Bronco has the sas package :p
I don't want to wait so I have a shop ready to paint the MIC top with two-tone white and Area 51 (body color). Also have upholstery shop ready to cover the dash cap and lower surround, make headliner and make seat pads front and rear in black alcantara. And I'm planning to paint the flat part of...
