I ordered some original Ford letters and a Big Bend (most retro IMO) grille. I'm trying some test fits now. I plan to make panels to cover the Bronco spots and install the Ford letters. I then plan to paint the grille white or silver, not sure yet.
I LOVE that top! I was going to paint and wrap, but now it's going to be Line X for sure. The texture reminds me of the texture on my '91 Eddie Bauer Tan top. Talk about retro!!!
Gotta cancel the wrap order and go see the Line X guy. Glad he's just across the highway :)
I'm planning on upgrading to a different bumper, this is the best place with no permanent damage to the stock one. Only drilled into the smallest plastic trim there.
Got mine installed today. Decided to do things a bit different giving me more options. I still plan to install a tank at some point, but this will be fine for now. I chopped up the hose to suit my purposes. Extras needed was a 90º NPT fitting and some hose crimps.
I used the T-connector to give...
You're stripping them because you might have the wrong tools. The screws are Torx-Plus, using a regular Torx will strip if overtightened. I don't know the torque speq on them, but they should be properly torqued to prevent over-tightening and damaging the inside threads. The right tools will...
NO!!!!! Red loctite requires heat to break loose. Blue is what should be used if anything. The yellow is factory applied loctite and would have been fine. Loctite Red or Pink will bind too strong to the aluminum and could damage if not properly heated. Be careful taking those off!
A reseller near me had 4 FE's all less than 150mi. in the 100K area last week, all have since been sold. Granted this is a small area outside San Antonio, but prior to that I've seen at least 8 different FE's in my area. That's quite a few for an area of only 26,000 people.
I've been very impressed so far!!! Installation was a cake walk, then again I've changed my share of plugs over the years. App was easy to set up too! Paired with the AWE exhaust is even better. Can't wait to get the new air intake installed too!
This reminded me of my trip to Off-Roadeo. My bronco went all crazy with the 4WD system, it was a BadSquatch. The Bronco froze up and would not move. Instructor came over and did the following and it was all good again. Put in park, turn off vehicle, exit, lock, unlock, lock, enter, start...
