Welcome. It's always good to learn of a quality fabricator nearby. I'm interested in supplementing the factory skid plates to make up the gap exposing the transmission cross-members. Those things take a beating.
Castle Rock Ford sold me mine for MSRP, just like they said a year earlier. No hassles, no add-ons although I did pay doc fees of $699. I worked with Kaley.
My maiden voyage was to Rainbow Falls between Woodland Park and Deckers. My stock BL did great. If you stay to the right (counterclockwise loop) the lower portion makes for a great playground to learn your rig before committing to the tougher obstacles (mini Moab) further along. Might be a whole...
While my Bronco was being shipped I was checking edmunds.com daily to keep up with my trade-in value. As some may know Edmunds is now owned by CarMax so before I received my value I was always prompted with "We have something special for you!" followed by a CarMax offer. Nothing exciting there...
It does have Auto/start stop and it took a day or two before it really started to annoy me. Next on my hit list is the double honk when the key fob leaves the vehicle.
Thanks for posting OP. I simplified your idea a bit using a trimmed "Mega" Nerf dart and I've been happy with the results so far. Who knew having three young boys and a Nerf arsenal could pay off?
EDIT: 500 miles later and still quiet.
I came across these battery powered LEDs and was really happy with how well industrial strength velcro sticks them to the sound deadening headliner. Obviously this installation requires a MIC top with sound deadening and you only need the hooked side of the Velcro as the headliner serves as the...
True, and that's in the plan once they're back in stock. Regardless, if you're on 33s or 37s these crossmembers are the first thing to hit as you break over step obstacles with the front tires.
My early Quirks/Complaints with my Badlands would be...
1) I'm hating the double honk when the key fob leaves the vehicle. Even more than auto-start/stop. Thank you forscan.
2) Unprotected transmission cross-members that hang a couple inches lower than the skid plates and rock rails (2.7...
Thanks for sharing, I'll be near the front of the line when the aftermarket comes up with a solution. My 4 door, 2.7 auto's crossmembers took a beating on it's maiden voyage. I couldn't have been more impressed with the Bronco except for these afterthought crossmembers.
