I hope you're right and we can't discount those yahoos. Certainly true with a mechanical locker but I'm not as familiar with the newer electronic systems. Even if it doesn't automatically disconnect we can expect the "differential not available" warnings and chimes to start ringing.

I'm sure the engineers have good reason but it's a bit of a bummer that the front locker disconnects at 25mph. If you're gunning it through a mud bog or ascending an unplowed hill momentum is your friend and you can't always babysit the speedo.
