Same as with Ford. People complaining about Bronco…no one is forcing people to buy a Bronco. My issue, as it was with Bronco, is showing interest in a high priced product sight unseen.
I’m certainly not giving them crap just stating facts. And selling for less $$ doesn’t mean “low” prices. I think the pushback they’re getting is asking people to show interest in a high priced, unknown product. Much like Ford did.
Have you seen an actual top or just a computer generated image? OEM soft and hard tops looked good as computer images too…but reality is something else.
It’s true they’re a company and the goal is to make money…some try and do that by hoping to sell a few at a high price while others sell more...
The Bestop Trektop doesn’t collapse all the way down like that OEM … it just folds back and is said to be a bear to install/uninstall. It’s not an easy switch to go from soft top to hard top. For those reasons, Bestop is not an option for many … until they offer a plug n play replacement option.
Following Ford’s business model: ask people to reserve sight unseen, product untested, and just based off computer generated image. For all we know, this will end up being worse than the MIC top…which I doubt, but we just don’t know.
I’m not 100% sure, but I think the CO paint color is slightly different than the orange they use on the Badlands emblem and interior accent coloring. Again, not certain.
I think the bigger lights on the inside get tied to fog lights. The other lights are brighter driving lights that can be connected to aux switches. That’s my plan.
