Just shy of 120k, Bronco is at the body shop because someone backed into it. The door handled the hit well, but it was still $4k in repair costs, but at least it wasn't my money or claimed on my insurance.
So, an easy rule out for a rear locker is the VIN.
Any Bronco with a VIN that starts with 1FMDE5C or 1FMDE5D will 100% have a factory rear locker. All Black Diamond Broncos will also have a guaranteed factory rear locker if I remember correctly.
All Base non-sasquatch Broncos are guaranteed...
Hell No...
"Full Speed Ahead Captain! Sound the collision alarm, we're going to do this Chinese Navy Style!"
Should have at least waved.
I had a guy back into my Bronco causing $4k in damage just a few weeks ago. Han's labor ain't cheap, ya feel me?
I am on the standard ones and even with full skid plates and a winch up front, it didn't sag really. I loaded it up with 500#'s in the tail and that got about 1.5-2.0 inches of squat, but handled fine.
And this is why the little 2 door non-sasquatch OBX I got in 2021 is such a little rocket. 4416 pounds, then added the performance tune.
It's like a Baby Raptor performance.... lol
Now the suspension and everything else on the Raptor is next level.
I ran 295/70r17 Milestar Patagonia M/T on my OBX with RTR Tech 6 17x9 +30 offset rims. It was a really nice combination with the 4.27 gears.
It was a little slower, but not much, and it took about a 15% hit on fuel economy compared to Bridgestone Dueller A/T's on factory rims that came...
No worries... if you really want the base Sasquatch, go for it... but you get a lot more Bronco with a non-sasquatch Badlands for about the same price.
The best way to see all of the differences is to download the order guide. It has all the differences listed in it. Read it slowly and carefully, some stuff is easy to miss.
