PSA to let everyone know PETG will not hold up to a New Mexico summer (even though we already knew that). My buddy test printed a set for me to see if it hit my leg or something, and this is what it looked like after a week with a small water bottle in it. I've got another buddy printing them in ASA for me since I REALLY like the design.

I’ve never tried 3D printing PETG before - just PLA for indoor stuff or test prints, ABS (no longer) and ASA for anything that goes inside the Bronco for heat & UV resistance.

@Greenbronc, how are your HT-PLA-GF door pockets holding up in the Texas heat? Your prints with that material had amazing surface quality. With the higher heat resistance than standard PLA and oven annealing step, I’m wondering if it’s durable enough for vehicle interior parts.

Still holding up well. I can get some photos as proof when I get back in town. To be fair they’re never in direct sun. But they seem to be the same as the first day I install them. Passenger side rattles some though.

What program did you use? We are playing with TinkerCAD.

Most of what I have 3D printed are download from various maker spaces. I did design this soft top mount cover.

I would suggest looking at FreeCAD, OpenSCAD, and Blender for some free options that have a lot of tutorials and different styles. You may prefer one for one 3D design and a different one for a different job as I do.

Fusion360 also has a hobbyist license that is free, but the learning curve is STEEP.

Wanted to share my can adapter with everyone. Its as simple as its gets.
Like any good elder millennial, I run off caffeine and spite. However the cup holders of the bronco are very loose and allow for a bunch of rolling around of the can, and while I've never had a spill, I have bumped the cans a few times while shifting (I own a manual). So I made this can adapter to fill the cup holder gap, works with tall and normal cans.

Finally got a picture. Sat at Dfw north covered parking for about a week. On top of being parked outside 99% of the time. I had the top off a few days in a row before it got too hot. Other than putting some foam behind the passenger side they’re the exact same. Still need to make time to paint them

Ive had mine installed for a couple months but I didn't have the net pockets so I dont have the covers. Found out that the net pockets are exactly cheap to get either. LOL
