Talk me out of a bad idea? Machining wheel bore.

I love these wheels. Center bore is slightly small for the Bronco. Some machining required to get hub bore correct. Horrible idea?

Very generic cure.
Almost any machine shop in any town.

Those are so close to the stock wheels you might be better served to modify your likes enough to buy a set of the stock take-offs

Thank you, I may have to give it a shot. My first instinct was that to save weight they might have removed as much extra metal as possible for the engineered application, thus removing more would cause excessive weakness leading to failure.

The first link Looks like an alloy version of Chevy truck rally wheels. But yes you can have them machined to fit.

There are people that say you shouldn't do it to cast wheels, although I've never heard a good reason why. (Maybe someone here knows.)

For machined wheels?? Go for it.
