Emmaus PA. to Sussex NJ, 154 miles round trip, none of the dealers had one around me, I didn't trust anyone to drive it down here for me so a young salesman drove me up with an Explorer they were trading them for my Bronco and I drove him back down.

I keep checking and still not many 2 doors around me here, did what I had to do to get it and it was worth it!!

LOL. I walked across the street. I was out for dinner. I could see the Bronco over in the dealer lot. After dinner I walked all the way across the street to check it out. Bought it on the spot.

Just thought about this and thought it would be nice to hear from other bronco members how far y'all went , As for me I did a 62 mile trip to and fro to pick up mine.

Luckily, I found what I wanted at the closest dealer, about 10 min away. Though I had to sign a purchase agreement and wait a few weeks because we had applied for a home equity loan at the same time.

So it wasn't 100% that they'd be able to hold it and give me the same price (employee pricing). So I found almost the exact same thing, but the dealer was in AZ. So plan B was to fly out there, and drive it home. This would've been about 6 hours driving.

A friend of mine did something similar with his Chevy truck. He found one he liked (long bed) around 8 hours away. Flew up there (Sacramento) and drove it home.

IMO it's worth it if you can get what you want and/or save a decent amount of money.

After my 2023 Wildtrak was totaled, I drove 216 miles each way to the Volvo dealer in Scottsdale, AZ to buy my current 2024 Heritage Limited 2 door. The dealer was quite the pain to deal with and had it not been a Limited in that color I would have told them to pound sand and walked.

9 months searching.... but I had a ridiculous 'must have' list. Wife wanted auto transmission, I wanted 2.7l engine. Had to be green, had to be a 2 door, had to be built as close to May of 2022 as possible.

I wanted a twin to my Seapine Geen Explorer Sport, built May 24th of 1972.

Found it clear down in San Jose, CA. About a 4 hour drive from where I live - each way.

Used my ATM card to buy it. Had to go through 3 layers of Wells Fargo security on a Saturday to be able to pull $44k using just a debit card.

Short story:
We were 100miles from home headed 2153 miles, ONE WAY, to buy our bronco.
100 miles out, a feed popped onto my phone that told the identically equipped vehicle was 100miles to our south. Same(ish) price.
We grabbed the next exit and had it bought 90 minutes later.
And now we own a 2door Stroppe.
