My driver side rear axle seal just took a dump all over. I am trying to get the axle out (almost 100k Miles and hard wheeling) and it will not come out with a slide hammer or a sledge hammer. Everywhere I have read there are no internal clips on this one holding it in place. I have a 23 with SAS so the locking rear diff. I made sure the diff is not locked and I turn the axle hit it, turn the axle hit it and repeat over and over. Am I missing something? I've also tried prying with two pry bars. No luck at all. It doesn't look like it has moved. There is not much information on the internets about axle removal just stupid AI.

The 4 nuts are all that holds it in, keep whacking it with the sledge.
There’s probably a bunch of rust build up where the axle bearing slides into the tube. It always gets caught on that.
