Were you up in the panhandle? Texas gets some pretty stiff winds. I'm sure other spots get some crazier winds, but we don't have tornadoes for nuthin'. I used to hate driving my 95 YJ with the four banger down I-35W to Fort Worth because the crosswinds would literally blow me off the road, and headwinds meant 45mph max...Here the results from my latest UOA (No. 9). I towed a trailer for about 1000 of the total miles and due to crazy headwinds in TX, I was under boost for nearly all of them.
Surprisingly, the fuel dilution was nearly perfect at 2.4% which I have not seen for 2.5 years at this point. Everything else appeared to be fine with viscosity holding at 90% retention and the TBN (additive pack) hanging at 55% retention.
I plan to go back to 5K oil change intervals if the next UOA has similar results on the fuel dilution.
