2021-2026 Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators have the same recall. I still haven't received a notice that my Rubicon X is a fire trap. 🤷‍♀️ I've been driving my Jeep since it was announced in June and I'm parking in the garage. 🤘

I was thinking of trading my Jeep Rubicon in for a Bronco until this was announced. 💀

I actually had an appointment to go look at a 2026 Anniversary Edition Bronco at my Ford dealership, and they said sells are on hold for all Broncos on the lot until there's a recall remedy.

There is zero chance Ford is buying my Bronco back because first they won't, and second I love it beyond words. Plus they are fixing this stuff.

That one looks like a candidate. Can you spot the non- stock part of my rodent deterrence system?

With the power of Irish Spring in your hand it's like deterring rodents in Ire-land....

That's interesting. I'm assuming it might have been due to the actual production date of that one. A friend of mine actually just bought a 60th Anniversary yesterday.

Incidentally he was cross shopping Land Cruisers and a few others and then the Bronco while debating trading his Gladiator in on a new Gladiator . Said he never made it from the Ford dealership to Jeep to drive a new Gladiator. Ended up leaving with the 60th anniversary.

Aye lad, and apparently my harness is magically delicious. 🌙🍀❤🔶
Does it really work? How often do you have to freshen it up? Rats got my pickemup truck 🤬

Gonna gamble and keep on driving mine. I'll let Ford sort it out later, rather than randomly fixing suspicious spots. I was happy driving my Bronco in my ignorance a few days ago and I'll be happy driving it today knowing to be a little more sensitive to a potential issue under the hood on the passenger side. Having about 30K miles on my '22 truck, there are many of you out there that have been testing this potential fault far longer than I have, and likely under much more severe conditions. If this has been found in 20 trucks (somebody stated this number earlier) out of 500,000+ units built, that's <0.004% and over the course of 5 years. I wonder how many miles are on the US Bronco fleet?

COULD SOMETHING BAD HAPPEN? Yes. Is it likely to happen over a few weeks or a thousand miles? No. I could meet my demise in so many other, less fun ways. I'll "gamble" with my Bronco. Maybe one of the other six open recalls will actually deliver my demise.

No idea, but I figure it can't hurt! A old gear head buddy of mine said to try it. Then several people on here mentioned it as an old RV storage trick. @Brian_B said he just ended up with rodents that smelled spring time fresh...and peanut shells in his air cleaner box. I might try some clove oil in some prominent spots ...unless some can tell me why that's a bad idea?...eats paint..... corrosive to aluminum.....

Hahaha I looked at a Land Cruiser yesterday before I was planning on checking out the Bronco. I really like the Bronco Anniversary Edition, but my dealership is going to get a Badlands Sasquatch in soon that I think I'll like better. 🙏 I absolutely love my 2024 Rubicon X, but unfortunately Jeep is has trouble service where I live.

Yeah he said he was thinking he would like the Land Cruiser because he had a 4Runner a while back and was a Toyota guy for a long time. He said this one just didn't do it for him and it was kind of boring. He said he was trying the Bronco just out of curiosity from me and him talking. But he loved how it drove and was sold on the 60th anniversary trim. He got the ruby red one.

I think this spot just below coolant bottle does look suspect so I wraped with some coolant hose section and zip tie.

Also did here as i had alot of dirt building up and was really tight against the bar behind the radiator. I know a recall will surely take care of all these suspect areas but I figure no harm in trying to prevent it from catching fire going down the freeway with my family in the thing.

Just pulled my overflow resivour off and found my wire harness that rides up against the fender metal edge didnt have tape on a spot about 1 1/4 long. And none of the loom had friction tape on it. Just electrical tape. I will be fixing this today
